Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

Hi lovely!
Sorry to hear about your mc. I can't imagine what it's like.
I just finished AF a couple of days ago so have started DTD already. This will be our first cycle TTC. I have an 11 yo DS (unplanned) from a previous relationship.
I'm feeling old and anxious that if we don't conceive quickly my mental health is going to suffer. I had been struggling, badly, and this TTC has picked me up!

@MamaMoonbeam hello! And thanks 🙏 Yeah the loss was crap but I'm glad it happened early (pre-12 weeks), and my body seems to have recovered quickly. We conceived 2nd month of trying for my first child so I really expected it would happen quickly this time round but it feels like it's dragging on and on!
I hate this bit in between period and dtd, but I know once we start, I always feel a bit more positive 😉
We've also had all the tests now (I'm 36 so as soon as we hit 6months of trying I spoke to my doc) - bloods, internal scan, my partners sperm, which were all normal and so I know there is no reason why it shouldn't happen. I don't know if that's comforting or concerning though! I feel like this month could be the month! 🤞🤞🤞 Fingers crossed for us both!! Let's keep each other's spirits up whilst we try xx

@Bmeggar oh! I'm 37 so v conscious of my age 😬 trying to just have fun and not worry but it's hard not to when you want something so much!
I'm not due to ovulate until the 1st/2nd of Nov so the wait is going to seem like an age! 😑
Fx things will be positive before Xmas!

Bmeggar · 23/10/2020 09:33

@MamaMoonbeam when I went for my internal scan, the sonographer said I shouldn't worry about my age at all until I'm 40, and that at 36 there was still plenty of eggs. Try not to stress, I'm sure all will be good. Also, you know your body can make babies as it's done it before - that always makes me feel a bit better.

@Bmeggar that's true! I also have a very regular period so always think that's a bonus too!

Hello @MamaMoonbeam and @Bmeggar!

I'm 39, TTC my first.

I've had two miscarriages, both were accidental pregnancies, the first in 2016, I'm not sure which week I was, maybe 7 but there had been a heartbeat, which then slowed.

The other m/c was in March this year at around 7 ish weeks, the sac developed but no foetus inside.

I'm a bit scared of that happening again, but really want to have a baby with my partner, so I'm focusing on being positive, imagining a healthy pregnancy and baby etc.

We TTC in october so this is our second month.

I'm not sure if I got a positive on an opk last month, so this month I have downloaded premom, and ordered the easy@home test strips to put on the app for it to analyse.

Hi @Sunflowers81!
Sorry to hear about your MCs.
Im torn between keeping things light and worry free and becoming super analytical, and potentially, mechanical about everything. I think that would scare my DP though!
I have still bought cheapy OPKs though and downloaded premom. If we don't get anywhere this cycle, I think I will start analysing on the sly 😁

Welcome @Sunflowers81! I'm sorry to hear of your losses. My friend who has had 3losses, but now has 2 healthy kids, just told me to just treat every attempt as new and not to focus on what's happened previously. There is very likely no link at all so just as much chance as the everyone else to conceive a healthy little one 😊 That's the attitude I'm trying to stick with going forwards...I might not be so positive if another year passes and still ttc! 🤦🏼‍♀️
I use the Femometer app and started using OPK's of the same brand since then. It has an intelligence recognition thing so I just take a pic of the opk and it tells me if low, high or peak. I think it's been really accurate tbh and updates my cycle according to bbt and opks. I think it's actually making me have more confidence in dates and also gives me times when I can not feel pressure to dtd as I know chances of conception would be really low. Keeping my fingers crossed for ovulation this month as apparently it can be a bit hit and miss after a d&c.. 🤞🤞🤞

@MamaMoonbeam I'm feeling exactly the same! To track or not! I think I will, but will try to make sure that I keep it fun.

@Bmeggar that's a really positive way of looking at it, thank you.
Fingers crossed for a positive ovulation test for you this month. Do you know when it might be due?

Ooh @bmeggar @Sunflowers81 - I may have to just start logging things anyway so that it doesn'tseem so stressful if/when we need to. I have charted my cycles for about 4 years now since moving to using a diaphragm for contraception so I suppose it wont be a big step!

Bmeggar · 23/10/2020 12:16

@Sunflowers81 the app reckons ovulation next Saturday so will probably stat dtd this weekend as I'm not sure if this cycle will be normal or not. I think I ovulated last month too (2 weeks after d&c) but can't be sure as the remaining hcg can mess with the tests apparently, but I'm hopeful for ovulation this month anyway 🤞 When do you think you'll likely ovulate?
@MamaMoonbeam there isn't a lot of difference with tracking periods and this - just means less likely to miss ovulation I guess but if your periods are very regular then you probs know you're cycle very well after 4yrs tracking anyway! I started tracking mine as I came off the pill last Oct and my cycles started off being 35days for a good few months then dropped to 30days. Post d&c last months was only 25days so a bit odd but hoping should be back to 30days this month 🤞

Hello my fellow November bussers! Had a few days off as been super busy at work etc. Feels like ages until the next TWW doesn't it 😏 anyone else ever think you might be one of those people who still has AF whilst PG and still takes a test after AF ? 😂 I was very nearly tempted to take one yesterday but came to my senses haha xx

Hey all!

Got a smiley face yesterday but with both working shifts only managed to DTD once today...so praying it is enough for BFP in November!

All the best everyone :) xo

I’m out for October too, got AF a couple days ago. Going into cycle 6, which I know isn’t too long really, I just never expected it to take as long as this! I think it’s because as a teenager I had it constantly drummed into me “if you have unprotected sex you WILL get pregnant!”. Now I feel a little cheated by all those years of contraception anxieties! Wishing the best of luck to everyone on their TTC journey
