Positive stories of pregnancy age 37 plus? I really am worrying I have been selfish and left it too late. I am 37 and have a son who is 7 but I had a difficult labour and recovery and always put me off but really keen for another and for my son to have a sibling. I know I am blessee beyond measure to already have one. Just super worried at 37 and 5 months that I am going to not be able to. My best friend is pregnant and turned 38 recently but has had a few miscarriages and it took forever.

I am 38, 39 next month and 27 weeks pregnant with DC3, conceived first month of trying! However, I did conceive first and second months with my other two so I may just be lucky. Had a little bleeding in first couple weeks but came to nothing, now suffering from SPD but I had that with DD2 at age 34. Good luck!

Accidentally got pregnant with baby 2 whilst still breastfeeding (toddler) baby 1. I was 38.

Me!
I turned 38 in January 2019 and got pregnant in March the same year.
Now not so many months away from 40 and am broody again...
Best of luck.

Should have added that pregnancy was my first baby.

37! That's so young! My friend got pregnant at 39 and delivered her baby at 40. When she was pregnant she mentioned to the midwife that she was surprised that she wasn't getting special treatment due to her age. The midwife replied, ' Oh for goodness sake - this is (name of affluent area) , you are one of my younger ladies!'

I had my first at 40 and second at 43. Neither took long to conceive..

The evidence shows (heard a proper academic expert talk on this) that fertility doesn't really decline prior to age 40.
