Can't help but to be a little disappointed... :(

Morning everyone 👋

So I'm 9DPO today, woken up with twinges in my lower abdomen, AF type.

After a really vivid dream last night, I decided to test this morning with just a cheapie, and no second line appeared within the timeframe so it was sadly a negative 😟🥺

I don't really know why I thought that this month could be the month, I've just felt very 'different'.. it's cruel what our bodies can do to us!

Has anybody ever had a BFN this early on, followed by a BFP in a few days time? I wasn't sure if I should be seeing even a faint line at this stage, or not.

I KNOW it's early and perhaps even too early to pick up the pregnancy hormone IF implantation did work.. having said that it could even be too early for implantation to have occurred.. so please be kind - I already know I'm probably being a bit optimistic 😂🤷‍♀️

Thanks ✨

Hi @premum1 as I have posted before (we have been on other threads together) I was negative on a One Step at 9DPO then positive on FRER and One Step at 13DPO.

With all the kindness in the world, it seems like you find yourself very anxious and hypervigilant of any 'symptoms' in the TWW. You have been on a few threads analysing these. As you know, it's near impossible to differentiate pregnant symptoms from the rise is progesterone post ovulation that triggers AF.

I'm wondering if it might be helpful for you to utilise distraction and relaxation techniques in the TWW? and perhaps promise with your SO that there will be no testing until 12DPO+ for each cycle? As I said, I'm not trying to be mean at all I just worry for you as it sounds so stressful to monitor yourself this closely for two solid weeks. I know personally its stressful to test too early and not know if its a BFN or just too early! I know how much you must want this.

Wishing you all the best Smile

9DPO is really really early still so it doesn't mean you're out.

I tested at 9DPO and got a BFN on a FRER, later that day had implantation bleeding then got my BFP at I think 11 or 12dpo.

Give it a few more days x

@TheDaydreamBelievers hi lovely

Thank you - I think sometimes I need a rational view 🙂

Without going into too much details, I've really not had it easy on the baby front so maybe I'm looking too closely into it.

I believe I'm a very rational person but having said that, when experiencing such unusual feelings / symptoms it's hard not to wonder what's going on 🧐☹️

Hey OP. Same situation as you! 10dpo. I had cramping yesterday and was up all night with nausea. I know that logically it's probably wind. But I tested this am and was BFN. I wasn't surprised I guess. It's easy to notice every little thing during the TWW. Why don't we agree not to test again for a few days?

@PurBal ahh it's so hard isn't it! I try to think logically and then an idea that it just COULD be preg related creeps into my mind and I hold onto it 😣😅

Yes that sounds a good idea! I don't keep tests in the house, so that's a good thing for me. I had one left over from a year or so ago when things didn't go to plan 🥺 so thought I'd just try my luck.

X x

I wish I hadn't bought tests "just in case" if I'm honest! Definitely good to keep them out of the house.

@PurBal I suppose it's good to have them within easy reach if your nearing AF / it hasn't come and you want to know! I have to go to the shops each time so I've only done this one test this morning.

Why does the TWW suck so much 😆😆

@premum1 it's completely understandable. It makes us all a bit irrational, especially if you've experienced difficulties of any kind. I would test again at 12 or 13DPO and in the next 4 days just try to eat well, sleep, relax.

Bfp for me on late 10dpo and 11 dpo, both faint. Good luck!

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you, you're so kind 💓
It's hard when you are TTC and not telling people around you 'in real life' for fear of pressure or disappointment - so I heavily rely on this 😅☺️

I will take it all as it comes :) can't change fate! Xxx

I agree with the first pp - you do seem to be really over alert to your body during the 2WW. As others have said, it's understandable and can make us all feel about desperate and irrational but honestly - if this isn't your month, I would definitely try and come up with a plan of action for your next 2WW, so that every time you start to think about symptoms, especially in the first week, you have planned in advance some things to go and do to take your mind off it. Many of us here have experienced difficulties TTC and we all get how excruciating the 2WW can be (I'm 6dpo today and willing the next few days to hurry up so I can test ha) but I think, and I s meant very kindly, that you need to find ways to chill out about it a bit, rather than analysing every tiny twinge, boob pain or snuffly nose you get from 1dpo onwards. It will just make it more excruciating and more prolonged. Hope you get your BFP v soon! Take care.
