Clear Blue Adv Ovulation Tests

Hi Ladies.. looking for a bit of advice from those with experienced with the clear blue advanced digital ovulation tests. This is cycle 6 for me and I have started fertility acupuncture. I am on cycle day 8, I had my first acupuncture session on cycle day 3. She advised me to use these ovulation tests as I had been using the cheaper ones and she preferred the accuracy of these ones so I have switched to these. I have a bit of varying cycle I suppose (27 days - 32 days) but last 3 months have been 28/29 days getting a peak OPK on day 15 the last 2 months.
I have started using these clear blue ones yesterday CD7 and had the blank circle, this morning CD8 I had a surprise to see a flashing smiley.
Does this sound right? Could I actually be in high fertility stage and my peak will be pending in the next 4 days? I have my next session of acupuncture on Tuesday (CD10) and then my next one would be when I get my peak on the stick (which I assumed would be around cd15 again). And then the last session will be 7 days after my peak.

I’m not really sure what I am asking other than does this sound normal or could it be wrong? And now it’s showing high fertility shall I test again in the afternoon. (My peak always showed in the afternoon).

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can get flashing for a long time sometimes so it totally depends. What cycle day do you normally ovulate on? Even if you had flashing for 4 days peak would be on your CD12/13 and only ovulate on cd14 so it's not that odd just keep using it and see how you go and maybe use cheap OPKs to support

@ThinnerByDinner are you doing them first thing in the morning like the instructions state? I got v confused by an immediate peak when I started using them and realised I was just doing around lunch but because of the way it works with creating a base line, they’re much more sensitive to how concentrated your urine is so I was getting odd results.
The next month I used from about CD8 and went straight to flashing smiley for about 4/5 days and then for a solid smiley the day before when I was expected to O.

Thanks for your replies. Yea I’ve been using first morning urine as the instructions say, not sure if now I have my flashing smiley if I should then also do one in the afternoon but I will keep doing first morning tests unless I’m advised to do more than one a day.
I’ve only used cheap OPKs for the last 2 cycles and got my peak on day 14 and 15 with those so it just threw me.
I don’t temp or anything so not sure exactly when I ovulate.
I wasn’t sure if the fertility acupuncture I’m having is making a difference to my cycle (this is my first month of acupuncture).
Will just have to dtd every other day from now and hope for the best!

@ThinnerByDinner really once you've had your flashing smiley you should text twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening otherwise you could completely miss your peak

I’ve been getting a flashy smile for 5 days now. I re-read the instructions and they recommend you test between 12-8pm. I’m hoping I get a static smile any day.

@Em39ma not in the morning ?? I'm not sure what tests you've been using but the clear blue recommend fmu and then once you get your high reading to test again in the evening after a hold

Yea my instructions say first thing in the morning after longest sleep.
I will start doing an extra test in the afternoon/evening today. How long should I hold my urine for do you think?

@ThinnerByDinner I think they normally say 4 hour hold if possible
