False positive on a FRER?

Hi,

We have been trying for a few months now without success.

Since coming off the pill my cycles have been 26 days, with one 27 day cycle. I'm now on cycle day 34, with no signs of AF, and had what I believe is a very faint positive on a FRER yesterday morning. Today FRER was negative.

I had been testing LH and I thought I hadn't ovulated this month but it could be that I ovulated late as I did stop testing LH.

I'll attach photos, FRER with ring is yesterday's very very faint positive & without the ring is today's negative.

Could I be pregnant and it's too early? Chemical maybe? Or is it a false positive?

Has this happened to anybody else?

FRER do tend to be the lost reliable and very rarely hear of a false positive (unless case has been opened up)

The test you did today was it with FMU? Have you got any other tests?

Could be a bad FRER (some ladies have had false positives on FRERs from Amazon recently), could be a chemical, could just be that your urine was more diluted this morning. Suggest testing again with concentrated FMU. Definitely see a line on the test with the ring though...

Thanks both for looking & replying.

Have just been loo and am now bleeding, so I think I'll take it as a chemical as I was 8 days late.

Maybe next month Sad

@honeysun101
Sorry to hear I was just gonna say I can see the barest line on the second and that it might be a chemical I had one my self a few years ago and it was similar to your test. Hope you are OK xx

I had two false positives on frers last month (bought from boots) I don’t think they are as good as people make them out to be tbh.
