I literally love the high score haha! Was anyone else naively hoping their bodies would work perfectly the day after stopping the pill?!

Yeap @MrsBtobe2020 - my mum kept going on about how she never even got a first AF and was immediately pregnant with me. I was hoping I was the same. Then 141 days later I was just glad to get an AF Hmm!

I saw your comment on the previous thread about hair loss - is that a thing coming off the pill? Cause I think mine has gotten thinner!

Also should say a big congratulations to our first graduate, @hopeful87! Smile

Hi ladies! Thank you so much for our new thread @TheDaydreamBelievers! Love the name hahah!! Just catching up with everyone's news;

@mintgreenlife congratulations on your wedding I hope you had a magical day!!
@hopeful87 YAY so so happy for you! And also TSYM for sharing, good to know there is hope post-pill!!

Well ladies I called the Dr today and was very surprised to get a call back this afternoon as they're so busy. I had the MOST wonderful Dr call me and she was so so lovely that I basically burst into tears about 2 minutes into the conversation wooooppsss. I kinda knew it would happen as I'm a v emotional person at the best of the times, but especially about this. Anyway. I explained the sitch and she was so understanding, said it was very normal but acknlowedged that wouldn't help me feel much better as when you're keen to get pregnant you just want it to happen ASAP which I really appreciated as I was worried she'd be dismissive. Basically we chatted for a while, she asked lots of questions, said it sounded like I was doing all I could and to carry on eating healthily, taking folic acid and exercising etc. Appt booked for 1st October which is annoying but hey, at least I have one. So I'm feeling relieved and honestly it was just nice to talk to someone (other than DH and you lovely girls :)) who understands. I have an appointment for blood tests now so I just need to wait and try not to think about it too much (HA). Hey, maybe I'll even get my period before then!! Currently on Day 104. 0% OPK again, negative cheapy pregnancy test.

I keep feeling like something is happening though; Thursday I woke up and my boobs and especially nipples were super super sore and painful to touch and I also just felt really aware of my boobs all day if that makes sense? Never ever had this before and obviously extensive Googling tells me it could be a period symptom or early pregnancy. But I've taken 4 negative tests, no peak temp, no peak OPK for the last month. I'm hoping it's AF obviously, but still nothing on that front and they don't hurt as much today (although still sensitive). Has anyone else experienced this? Haven't had a 'proper' period in like 15 years so no recollection of this happening!! But surely it must mean something!?

Anyway so sorry for the waffling, hope everyone's had a good Monday!

@TheDaydreamBelievers I have read its due to hormonal changes. I first noticed about a month after I stopped, I couldn't work out why my hair was getting so greasy, my scalp was dry and itchy and loads falling out! So gross. Its calmed down a bit now, I'm just glad my teenage spots havent returned!

Report
TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/09/2020 21:48

@MrsBtobe2020 I've had a few teen spots recently too! That's good to know about the hair.

@TheHotelCalifornia - I had the super sore boobs and pointy nips twice in my 141 day time without a period! In those 141 days my temps were all over the place and I never pinpointed ovulation at all before I got my first post pill period.

Funnily enough I also had bloods taken around CD100, which showed prolactin was still high. The pill artificially pulls it up and it can stop you ovulating. I'm hoping its dropped and I am actually ovulating this month as my app seems to think so!

So basically I seem to be running a couple of months ahead of you haha Smile

Thank you @TheDaydreamBelievers for adding me in! That is some record Shock

I have also read about the hairloss thing, and I’ve definitely been getting the teenage spots, currently have a rather large friend on my chin 🙄

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you for the new thread and my lovely title 😁. Sorry I'm being quiet at the moment - it's a mixture of being on holiday and being at the start of a new cycle.

@TheHotelCalifornia I lost lots of hair and have had greasy hair and skin. I think it's calming down now but still not back to normal and this month marks one year off the pill for me!

CD5 here - AF was a little bit longer and a bit heavier than most other cycles so I'm taking it as a good sign. Nothing like a 1-2 day super light period to otherwise make you think something is not quite right lol.

@MintGreenLife I hope you had a wonderful wedding weekend ❤️

Hi ladies!! Thanks for the add to the new group - I love it Grin

@MintGreenLife Congratulations on getting married! Flowers

@Hopeful87 Congratulations!! Really pleased for you Smile

@MrsBtobe2020 @TheDaydreamBelievers I have had a very spotty couple of months... I thought there would be some gap between spots and wrinkles!? Hmm Wink

I have included my chart as it might be helpful for some. For those of you that remember, I am on my 3rd cycle and have had fairly long Follicular phases (26 to 32 days long) and short Luteal phases (8 to 10 days long) which isn't ideal. So... I decided to the try the following... and I think it is working Grin:

I took high strength B complex (B6 100mg + B12 500ug) + 500mg Vit C up until CD 10. I stopped because the B vitamins can push back ovulation, and I wanted ovulation to happen earlier... and it looks as though it has!! I am currently on CD19 and I am pretty sure I ovulated on CD17. I'm just waiting on 2 x more days of high temps to confirm, but I had increased libido and a high soft cervix and possible EWCM. Unfortunately I was camping this weekend so wasn't able to do OPKs to confirm LH peak.

I will now start taking the B Vit complex again (post ovulation) in the hope it lengthens by Luteal phase.

I was also taking EPO which I have now stopped and I continue to take my 7 seas (Folic Acid + Iron).

I'm so excited to be starting my 1st TWW!!

@TheHotelCalifornia Aw, Im glad you managed to speak to a lovely doctor, it makes all the difference when someone really listens so thats promising.
My boobs/nipples were sooo sore and pointy after ovulation, felt really aware of them and they got bigger - winning! but yeah, very sore. AF arrived and then it all stopped so for me it was a symptom of PMS but its good you're getting that as its all hormonal.

@Juno231 hope you're having an amazing time away, good to know AF was more heavier this time, all good signs :)

@Kay00 Great news on the earlier ovulation, sounds like what you're doing is working. Bring on the TWW 😀

CD14 for me, no peaks yet on OPKs, flashing smiley for 3 days and ovulation pain (i think its that) but no peaks!! Just low highs on the femometer but deffo a negative...hoping to peak this evening...

My temp is still not behaving itself and going up but I was getting stabby one sided pains yesterday, a peak OPK 2 days ago and almost peak last night, so I'm going to assume ovulation has occurred/is occurring and hope temps go up. Didnt manage BD last night but did the day before and may try tonight.

@TheDaydreamBelievers Thats what Im feeling yesterday/today sharp stabby pains in my right side and almost like a stitch but no peaks which is annoying. It sounds like you have ovulated or are ovulating, especially with the peak! Get BD 😀

We managed twice yesterday 🙈 he's just text me to say he's having a crap day and he's tired so not sure if tonight will be any good lol

@TheDaydreamBelievers 🤞ovulations happen for you!
We've been BDing every other day just in case. The opk just is a lot more visible on the stick than I've had before but it's still only a low %.

Thanks @Flowerkm & @MrsBtobe2020 I was pretty certain it was coming this month anyway but oh my god the pains have been horrendous this afternoon, I spent the afternoon up until now popping pain killers and hugging a hot water bottle!

Also with you @TheDaydreamBelievers my OH works 12 hour shifts days and nights! And my work place is just manic at the moment!
