Clearblue digital: 3 peak fertility days and more!?

Hello! New to using the Clearblue ovulation kit.

Had my LH surge 3 days ago, the digital ovulation tester locked out for 48 hours as it does and I thought I would test again today and it’s another peak fertility day! That’s 3 now, and the lines are darker than they were 3 days ago when solid peak fertility smiley was detected.

I had all the ovulation signs yesterday and now I’m so confused!

Anyone had something similar??

I too have just had this, turns out I was pregnant!
Other advise I read said it could be your body gearing up to ovulate but not managing to, and then gearing up again to try again!

But in my case, I took a pregnancy test and it was very positive 😳

Really??

Was it multiple peaks in a row or some high or low in between? I don’t think I’d be showing as pregnant 3 day’s post ovulation!!

@Somanyquestions111

So, I started testing on what I thought was CD8. I had a 7 day AF (I thought it was AF anyway)? It was heavy and I had had a very faint positive pregnancy test prior to this but it was so faint I was convinced it was just my eyes when AF arrived!

CD8 - Negative Ov test (I am told they're always new on day 1)
CD9 - High flashing smiley!
CD10 - Peak! Solid smiley.
This then remained for the 48 hours but I was curious as to why I ov'd so early, so I tested again on CD14 (4 days later) which is when I was suspecting OV - peak again! I assumed this was the real deal this time.

CD 16 and again out of curiosity I tested again - peak, again. So I preg tested! I am approx 6 weeks, pregnant from what I thought was a previous cycle! Very confused..!

However, they do also say that once you hit peak not to test again on the CB Digitals, and that an LH surge is simply you getting ready to release an egg and sometimes it doesn't happen so it may be that.

Anyway I've rambled enough, I hope you find out why, the whole ov testing is another level of madness I am yet to understand fully x

I had 3 peaks last month on CB digital and 2 on an IC. Your body can try to ovulate multiple times if no egg is released first time around. Are you tracking BBT?

KEEP DTD!

I've had this several times - the tester isn't designed to be used that way. After the first peak reading it resets and then compares itself to a new starting point. You will still have elevated LH levels - higher than 0 but they will be declining

Hi. I didn’t get on well with the clear blue digital advanced. Was my first month using this month aswell, and I don’t think I will be using them again. I was getting some odd results almost straight away so started using ICs (one step 25) along side them. Started testing 7CD as the instructions stated.

7CD- negative Clear blue
8CD - Negative clear blue
9CD - peak clear blue for 48 hours, started doing ICs twice a day as this seamed too early and both negative
10CD - still peak, 2x negative ICs
11CD - negative clear blue and ICs
12CD - flashing clear blue, negative IC but EWCM started
13CD - flashing clear blue, negative IC
14CD - peak clear blue for 48 hours, with a positive IC in the evening
15CD- peak continued, negative ICs
16CD - negative clear blue and negative IC
17CD - flashing smiley back again!!! Flashing smiley stayed until I ran out of sticks.

So yer, clear blue gave me two peaks, and with IC only one positive test. If I had trusted that first peak on the clear blue I would have missed my most likely ovulation date, by 4/5 days. X

Has anyone used these and just got the error symbol?

I've used four sticks now and followed the instructions to the letter and just got the error symbol.

Faulty?

@whatever1980

Is this a new holder or one you've reused from a previous month (which is ok to do - it's what you're supposed to do so that it better predicts your cycle) but eventually the batteries run down so that might be why you are getting more error messages?

Hi thanks for your response. Brand new box. I tried a fifth stick today and got a low reading - did same routine with all sticks so not sure if box is a bit hit and miss

Yes I've been trying the last couple of months to do temps but my sleep pattern is not great so not sure it's accurate! Yes I've been trying smep too, tbh I've been trying everything. How long have you been ttc if you don't mind me asking? X
