Anyone had any luck with fertility lube?

Hi,
I’m currently on 2ww of second cycle ttc number 3 (so very early days) but I’m not feeling like this is my month so thought going forward I might try opk and fertility lube next cycle.
I had my implant removed end of June and my CM doesn’t seem how it was prior to the implant, it’s got me worried that this will stop me conceiving.
I wondered if anyone here has had any joy after using fertility lubes (particularly if you’ve had issues with CM).
Also has anyone stopped the implant and then had any issues with CM? My cycles since removal have both been 31-32 days so seemed to have settled into a regular pattern but the CM just doesn’t seem right. I always used to get EWCM mid cycle but in these 2 cycles since implant removal I don’t seem to have had it.
Thanks x

Yes! First baby I TTC for almost a year, used PreSeed that cycle, got pregnant. Second baby I TTC for 5 months, finally used PreSeed that cycle, got pregnant. So, the two times I had successful pregnancies I used PreSeed.

I was going to try preseed, but read that it contains parabens, which are banned in several countries in sunscreens. I 'assume' preseed would be safe, but also read articles about increased MC and different issues from using it. I'd suggest doing your own resarch before using a lube with a paraben in it.

We hard preseed and got pregnant this cycle. Could be coincidence might not. Definitely worth switching in if you use normal lubricant

I'm not sure what CM means but I got pregnant the first month we used Conceive Plus (cycle 4). We'll never know if it was just a coincidence though!

Oh and we bought it on Amazon where it had great reviews so it must work for a lot of people! Grin

Conceive plus and pregnant on cycle 2. The paraben point is relevant, but paraben and glycerine-free lubes tend to use natural plant cellulose as a thickener which inhibits the progress of sperm. Hence conception lubes existing in the first place.

We used PreSeed and got pregnant. Repeated with DC2 after I forgot about it for a while. Got pregnant that cycle.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Seems pretty positive! Definitely going to try it.

@HomesUnderTheSpanner I was reading some reviews on amazon earlier and the majority seemed positive! By CM I just mean cervical mucus. Mine seems different to pre-implant and I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that there are fertility lubes that can mimic the fertile cervical mucus. X

@BerylSilverstone are you using bbt to confirm ovulation? EWCM is one indication of ovulation but only bbt confirms it. It's not uncommon for it to take a while before ovulation restarts after the implant, even if your cycles are regular. It took me 5 months.

Hi @RMarieClaire
I haven’t tried bbt yet, although I have looked into it a little. I think if I get to around the 6 month mark with no joy I might well try it.
I never realised that about EWCM. When I conceived my second son 6 years ago I had been on microgynon and once I stopped I immediately seemed to return to normal (and was very lucky to conceive my son the next month after stopping the pill). I wasn’t watching the cycle really closely as I thought it would take a few months to settle but I did notice I had the clear, stretchy mucus in that cycle at the time I conceived. So it’s got me concerned now that I don’t seem to be getting that anymore!

It is early days though and as you said it can take several months to get back to normal cycles after the implant. My period also still seems on the light side compared to pre implant.
Thanks for your help x
