6 days late, scared to test

Hi all, I’m currently 6 days late (cycle day 35, 20 dpo) and I’m so afraid to test. I’ve been ttc #2 for 13 months and was going to start a iui cycle but my period never showed. I did have some stressing situations my last week of the tww but other than that I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve read so many posts where people keep getting bfn even after being so late that I’m super scared to take a test and it be bfn. My cycles are pretty regular and are 28-30 days. I have sore breast’s, weird wet feeling making me think I started af but nothing when I go to the bathroom, af like cramps on and off and indigestion. I have also symptom spotted before so I’m super cautious about all this. Dh wants me to take a test but I just want to wait until I’m like over a week late. Anyone gotten a bfp with symptoms like these? I also get super tired after doing almost nothing or climbing stairs or showering my 3 year old.

How sure are you of when you ovulated?

If your breasts are pregnancy sore (not PMS sore) and you're getting super tired for no reason... it would fit with being 20DPO or roughly 5 weeks pregnant.

I can totally understand your reluctance but better to know either way, surely? Everything crossed for you x

I’m sure I ovulated, according to opk I would have ovulated aug 3, according to bbt it was aug 5. I had a sharp pain aug 3 on me right side. How do you tell the difference between pms type of breast soreness and pregnancy? I always have soreness but this time it’s a little bit more like even when I walk

The sensible thing to do would be to do a test. At least you’d know either way. I don’t see the point in stretching it out and tormenting yourself

I don't think there really is a difference between pregnancy symptoms and AF symptoms which is an absolute bastard when you are TTC!

Fingers crossed for you x

Just do a test. It would be better to not get your hopes up.

You just have to put your fears away and do the test. Fingers crossed for you

Sorry, I remember when I was in the first trimester I couldn't let anything touch them, it was nothing like the PMS type soreness. I assumed that it had probably been similar for you first time round so it might be noticeably different to normal soreness.

Eitherway. if you definitely ovulated then you are definitely 6 days late. Good luck @24kay2 but I think it's highly likely you're pregnant and look forward to hopefully seeing an update soon!
