For reference I'm currently on CD9 and weirdly have had three days of EWCM already. OPKs are blank still though so I'm not sure what to think (although happy I'm not having some freak ovulation in the single digit CDs!).

@paintfairy did your temp stay high into the new cycle this time again or did it drop?

@MimiArm I had my AMH done in June last year but as it was borderline low fertility I'm tempted to do it again end of this year if I've had no luck still.

@MrsTwentyEight whereabouts in your cycle are you now?

Yayy
Thank you for this @Juno231
CD 8 today ...so we are similar again! I should OV around 31st so I’ve tried not to think about it 🙈

@MrsTwentyEight didn't realise you ovulate ovulate at around cd19! My apps are just wildly guessing my ovulation at this point as it ranges from CD12-CD17 now. Checked yday though and realised that since I started tracking in Jan I've not ovulated on CD14-15 once 🤷‍♀️

Would love it if I ovulated before the weekend though as we're away at a friend's house from Friday evening and I don't want to sneak off to DTD whilst there...

Yeah @Juno231 my cycles feel so long sometimes which makes the two week wait even more agonising 😭 They’ve ranged from 34-37 days over the past few months. I think my weight loss and dieting has something to do with this.
Ahh I see! Do you normally get pains or anything on OV day? This is the only way I know to check when my period is next due in a particular cycle as it’s cramp + 14 days 😞
I can imagine that being difficult haha DTD at someone else’s! Hopefully it’s before - so keep at it this week ;) Is there anything you are doing this month? My DH has said he wants to “properly” try this month as all the previous months it’s just been me trying to keep it hush when it’s OV time 😂 So the aim is 2-3 times a week from around CD 10...we will see!

@Juno231 I've not been temping. I was away camping at the weekend so didn't. And today I was going to try but I've not slept! I'm day 3 though and past months its dropped after 5 so I'll see if i can get one tomorrow.

@MrsTwentyEight I used to get pains for OD in the early months of TTC but now it's a lot more erratic. I've got pains today for instance and think I noted some a couple days ago as well but doubt there's anything actually going on so I can't rely on it anymore. As for doing anything different... I've run out of ubiquinol and don't think I can be bothered to buy more of it - plus I've started taking a Vit B complex this month. Let's see what happens!

@paintfairy camping! whereabouts? did you get drenched and/or eaten by mozzies?

CD10 and day 4 of EWCM...

@Juno231 The forecast was shocking. But somehow the weather didn't follow. 🤣 So only got 1 lot of rain. Weather was terrible coming home though. It was over Herefordshire way. I did get bit by something once on my foot. No idea what since it always had socks on? 🤣 But the rest of me was fine. I'm lucky in not one of those people that attracts them.

I'm summoning up the enthusiasm to ring the dr this week. I think it's time to book in.....

Juno231 · 19/08/2020 09:45

@paintfairy yay that's a big step - I'm glad you're considering it!

I'm one of those people that get devoured by insects so I think I'd get eaten alive when camping. I probably have about a dozen bites on me atm for no good reason!

Hi ladies

I'm back from my AMH test and internal ultrasound 😳 I think my face will be red for the rest of the day haha.

So the scan was ok (except for the obvious ). The consultant talked me through the entire time showing me what was what on the monitor.

He said that everything was normal except he can see lots of immature follicles on one side. He said that supports the day21 blood tests which show that I'm not ovulating. This is also CD12 for me and he said at this stage in cycle, mature egg should be there.

Waiting game now until this time next week when we will have the AMH results and SA results - I asked the consultant about chance of being prescribed Clomid and he said that either Clomid or Letro.. something could likely be given as a first step and that the consultant I am under prefers the Letro... one over Clomid.

Let the week wait begin (she says as she plans to google endlessly this evening)!

@MimiArm that's all positive really. Things might not be right but if they can get you ovulating the rest might all just fall into place? Fingers crossed.

Who have you gone through privately? At least it won't take forever like the NHS.

Report
MimiArm · 19/08/2020 20:39

@paintfairy Thanks. Yes, I agree that I think it's positive as there are non evasive options at this point. I've been reading up on Letrozole and Clomid but I suppose I'm jumping the gun as need to see results from AMH and SA first - but fingers crossed.

We are in Northern Ireland and went to a local private clinic called Belfast Fertility Clinic. It cost £550 for the scan, AMH test, SA and results/treatment consultation. I called them last week and got the appointments for this week and next week so pleased so far with the speed things are moving at.

They accepted the GP results and private blood test results (LetsGetChecked) so I didn't have to re-do CD3/21 tests again.

Will you go ahead and call your GP this week do you think?

Juno231 · 19/08/2020 21:22

@MimiArm that sounds like a good result! I've heard better things about Letrozole than clomid as well :) I hadn't even considered that the scan could be performed by a man tbh - and awkwardly I'll be growing my foof out at the time for a pre holiday wax the following week 😂

@Juno231 LOL 😂😂😂

That really made me laugh! "Foof"! Never heard that one before - I go with "faluja" haha.

Yes, when they walked me into "the room" in my head I was like "don't be a man, don't be a man" and there he was 🙈😩

Oh well - if it's any consolation, it was pretty discreet for what it was (as much as it can be). I doubt he really saw that much to be honest as I could keep the sheet over me a bit and didn't have to spread 'em much - the lights are dimmed a lot too for it.

Bet you can't wait for Tuesday to come (and go!).

Juno231 · 19/08/2020 22:32

@MimiArm haha tbh I'm not convinced I didn't make foof up on the spot, my go to is chichi normally! Never heard of faluja though 🙊 sounds like she could be a girl from Morocco lol.

I've had loads of pap smears and had both LEEP and cystoscopy done before so what's one more person inspecting my fanjo 😂

@Juno231 You've just brought new meaning to some of the dresses hanging in my wardrobe (chichis) haha!

Well, at the end of the day, if we can't cope with people inspecting our fango foof chichi falujas we're in for some troubles ahead (hopefully!) :-)

I've definitely heard of foof. 🤣

And yes they can be men. My friend asked for a lady and had to wait longer. Only to turn up and it was a man! She was not impressed.

Right- I've called my drs this morning. Actually the reception lady was nice (rare?). They are only doing telephone apps atm. I asked for a lady but there is none at my practice atm. However they've recently merged with another practice and there is one there. But can't get one until 10th sept. She asked about my bleeding from before and said if it's still happening then that's not right. So she's booked me in with a nurse by phone (one i saw before who was really good) and said they have access to appointments so she'll refer me quicker if she thinks its needed (that's what she did last time). So next Thursday she is calling.

I've also booked my smear because that's due. Next wed.

She suggested my DH phone his dr too and ask for him to be tested.

The pandemic stuff is really unhelpful tbh.
I told DH to call Dr and I have no idea what nonsense he just told me. But I was like- erm ring them back up and sort it out! Gave me some waffle that nothing is happening right now. Unfortunately he's not in the same drs as me. But we can't afford to drag our feet and do nothing for another 6 months. I know everything takes an age anyway.

Report
Juno231 · 22/08/2020 14:55

@paintfairy ah I'm glad you took that first step and that things are happening! Tbh the pandemic stuff has meant everything has been faster for me - my gp responds within 24 hours now and my blood tests have been super easy to book so far. I also only had to wait a month for the ultrasound which was far better than expected.

Had my super peak, dye stealing opk today btw! Shame we're staying with friends in a tiny house atm 😂. Managed to DTD yday and Wednesday and will try to do it tomorrow (which hopefully should be OD?) - that's not ideal but I should technically be covered right?

@Juno231 I find nothing is fast. Turns out DH is having a blood test and a general check (age related not to do with this) so they were waiting for everything to come back and then a phone conversation on 27th sept where he could also chat about getting the test. I've told him he needs to ring and get a call about this before. End of Sept is just not good enough. 🙄

My temp yesterday was 36.27 and seemed right. Today its 36.50? So its still bizarre. I'm on day 6.

I reckon you should be covered? If you managed to dtd yesterday that's good. If you can get another go then bonus. Hard when staying with people though. Saying that- never puts me off. 🤣

Report
Juno231 · 22/08/2020 15:17

@paintfairy 27th sep?! Yeah that's not ideal! Hope he manages to get a call in way before then.

Ha tbf I don't mind DTD here it's more that there's no time for it until bedtime and we'll probably be really tipsy and tired by that point. Couldn't do it first thing this morning either (although I wouldn't have known about a peak OPK then anyway) as we were hungover and feeling pretty ropey 🙊.

36.5 is weirdly high! My one was 36.12 yesterday which was weirdly low for me.

I enjoyed symptom spotting this time btw - had 6 days of EWCM (forgot to check today) and yday my cervix went high and soft so I was hoping it would mean a peak OPK today. Nice to know these things work!

When does your FW start btw?

@Juno231 it is high for day 6 but then it's been weird the last few cycles. I suspect it'll be normal tomorrow. I ovulate abutting from 9-13. So really need to get cracking now! 🤣

I'm not good with the cervix thing. I can't tell any difference! The cm i can but once dtd its hard to tell when it's mingled up with his 'stuff. 🤣

I'll make dh ring again Monday. 27 Sept is ridiculous.
