Do cycles really return to normal within a month of implant removal?!

Hi, I had my implant out on 30th June and had some spotting/very light ‘period’ from 13th-16th July. The official line seems to be that your natural fertility returns within a month of removal (perhaps 2 months max.) but so many people’s personal stories seem to contradict this!
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of this? Weds/thurs last week o had some low, dull ‘twitching’ and an ‘almost’ positive opk, but CM didn’t seem to be consistent with ovulation so not sure if I o’d or not. Planning on waiting for period then starting opk earlier this month (assuming a period comes any time soon)
I’ve been on various pills in the past and cycle always seemed to become regular again the following month, but with nexplanon it just doesn’t feel like things are back to normal again yet. It’s early days but just wondering if it can actually take a lot longer than a month to get back to your normal.
Thanks x

Not sure about the implant, but they say the same thing about the pill - that you should go back to normal right away, however having spoken to lots of women, from my own experience and research this isn't often the case, and some women experience issues up to 12 months off the pill

Not sure if this is any help or not but i never had regular periods while I was on the implant, they were all over the place(which was one of the reasons I had it taken out). I came on my period period a few days after removal and fell pregnant on that cycle.
