Can implantation bleeding stop and start?

Hi, Can anyone help at all?

I am either 9 or 10dpo today and have just taken a test and it was bfn although I thought I could see a shadow but most probably an indent line...anyway I’ve also just had the tiniest ever dot of blood on the toilet paper and the same thing happened on Friday.

So my question is, can implantation bleeding stop and start like that and wouldn’t I have a positive by now if it was that? X

Hello, could there be a chance you ovulated late? X

I don’t think so @BPT2019 because I had a pretty obvious positive on my opk on the 17th and I’m normally very regular x

Anyone had experience of the stop and start spotting?

Hmmm strange for it to stop and start but I wouldn't say it's impossible for it to happen. Fingers crossed for you 🤞 x

I've just turned the brightness up on my phone and I'm sure I can see a hint of a line on your test, what did it show in real life? Have you tried inverting/tweaking the photo? Don't want to give anyone false hope but I'm sure I can see something x

I thought when I took it I saw something so I took that photo straight away but since then it seems to have disappeared so I’m not sure. There was no colour to it. It’s these cheapies though I’ve had something similar happen a couple of months ago but I think that may have been a chemical xx

I would try another in a couple of days and see what that shows 😊 I know what you mean about ICs, I've had faint lines for a few days now and they aren't getting darker but I'm not bleeding (yet) so no idea what's happening. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

BFN for me this morning but telling myself if I only implanted yesterday is it normally about 3 days before you can get a bfp? X

Hello, yeah I think it's 3-4 days (I quickly googled it and it said many days which was very helpful 🙄 lol) I've got my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Are they one step tests? I used them, and they were incredibly faint- even with concentrated urine, and even when several weeks pregnant!!!

I have no clue, but I wonder if 2 implantation bleeds could be twins???

I've seen a bleed with 2 pregnancies. Both times, were just a tiny, 2mm speck on toilet paper. The 1st was pink, the 2nd time was more yellowy/pink. Nothing heavier, and only saw it the once each time.

best of luck, but I'd definately check with a FRER to be sure. I've also had a false positive with one step, so use another brand now.

Yeah I'm okay, slowly driving myself insane with my tests! Another faint line this morning so I'm eagerly waiting my new tests to arrive 😊
I highly doubt I'm pregnant as I'm sure the lines should be darker by now but I wish I knew either way.
How are you feeling about yours?
My tests aren't one step, are yours? Twins would be exciting 😊 X

Mine aren't one step tests but how faint were your tests? I've had faint lines for a few days now 😕

@BPT2019- When I actually was pregnant, one steps were faint, and took a long time to show up- several mintues. I know it can be down to urine concentration etc, but I even used one after my 7 week scan, just to see if there was any difference and it was still faint. I never had one where the line was as dark as, or even near as dark as the control line!

I also got a false positive last month. Again, very faint positive, then used a FRER and negative! I've since read that there was also a whole batch of one steps which were dud and didnt work at all. I used one of these when pregnant, and it was very worrying. 3 days of positives, then 2 days of negatives from the dud batch! I only use FRERs now.

Thank you, I will have to try a FRER but wanted to hold out until I saw a dark line. Wonder if I've got faulty tests (have used a couple of different batches though when one ran out) or if something is actually showing. Mine aren't one step but are Internet cheapies so could be the same.

@BPT2019 I think you are pregnant if you’ve had that many lines even if they are faint...keep us updated when your new tests arrive 🤞

@Elouera yeah one step tests. OMG I would be over the moon if it was twins. I’m just starting to get that panicked feeling that I’m getting my hopes up for nothing again. It’s been that long ttc number 2 I have been here so many time’s then I feel stupid for letting myself get carried away. However. I’ve never had this spotting before. Even that though, it was that small, I’m doubting everything thinking what if I’m seeing things that aren’t there 🙈I’m losing my mind basically x

Update on the new tests.... they were falling apart and all dinted on the actual strip so I can't even use them. I'm holding out for a dark line before I use a FRER so I could be waiting a while. AF might get me at some point too x

Thanks @BPT2019 the af upset hit me so hard I’ve had so many pregnancy announcements and I spent the day in bed completely sobbing. I’m feeling better now though. I’m thinking more logically anyway.

Any updates from you? Hope it’s good news xx

Hello, I know that feeling. It's hard not to let it affect you 😔 I hope you're okay. I must admit that's why I'm on here, it helps feeling I'm not the only one going through the emotions of TTC.
No updates from me, no AF and had another faint line but then FMU this morning was barely there. I just feel like I'm in limbo to be honest. Maybe my tests were just false positives as there is no way I wouldn't be getting dark lines by now 😕
Are you TTC when AF finishes? X
