What do people make of my slow and hardly any rise bbt charts? Only been off pill 3 months but concerned I may have low progesterone. Anyone got similar graphs and/or success stories? Or any advice on increasing progesterone through using vitamins?

Hmm it certainly looks like you're ovulating, so that's a good start! Do you know how long your luteal phase is? I think a rise just above the coverline could indicate low progesterone, but I'm not sure if that's an issue unless you have a short leatal phase, I may be wrong though. I'm three cycles off the pill now and have come to the conclusion that I'm not ovulating 😔

I think it looks ok. My temp doesn’t go up by a huge amount in literal phase. Only by about 0.3 which looks similar to yours

@MintGreenLife it's between 11-13 days. It's so difficult when it feels a bit of your control isn't it?

@LT103 okay its just the bbt charts I have seen on here and on apps etc all seem to spike a lot higher and a lot sooner!

@Navabb34 that's great your luteal phase is that long. I've read a lot about how the pill can cause it to be short initially, so I wouldn't worry as all looks ok ☺️ Urgh yes it's so frustrating. Feel like we are not even technically TTC seeing as I'm probably not even ovulating! But best keep at it as I guess I could start at any point. We had to cancel our wedding because of Covid, so it was a bit of a last minute change of plan, although I always planned to come off the pill straight after our wedding and staff trying then, as the doc told me I could fall pregnant straight after stopping, so never would have thought to stop early anyway x

Honestly your chart looks fine! You're reaching over 36.66 degrees which indicates enough progesterone so it doesn't look like you're deficient. Some people just are slow risers. You've also got a clear ovulation and a nice stay above the coverline. It's not as dramatic as some of the charts you see online but it's all good indicators.

This particular app is much more spread out, if you entered them into flo or premom you would see a clear rise I'm sure :) xxx

@Navabb34 agree with the others. Ill attach last month cycle for me, notice the difference between the two apps. Also my top temp was around the same as yours.
I have been doing seed cycling, this is my 4th cycle off the pill. Meant to help with hormonal balance. So pumpkin and linseed pre ovulation, sesame and sunflower post ovulation 😊 I just sprinkle them on my porridge in the morning

Thanks for replying with reassurance guys and for pointing out the difference in scale between apps! Smile

My app from last month said it looks like my luteal phase rises too slowly but I know I may have to take the app with a pinch of salt too.

Maybe I'll look at seed cycling.

This forum is so supportive and useful!

@blodyn91 your charts are really nice and clear ☺️ Hope you don't mind me asking - do you know if you started ovulating straight after stopping the pill, or if it took a few cycles? I'm on my third cycle and I'm fairly certain I'm not ovulating yet x

@mintgreenlife Unfortunately I didnt track until my 3rd cycle so no idea. I have looked back at my resting heart rate and that was all over the place the first two cycles, but had a pattern on the third (which those charts are for). Even though I did ovulate still wasn't successful and my period still light, Im blaming the pill. Also same situation as you with wedding 😒 this is my last month of trying as new date is June 2021

@MintGreenLife well I didn't track bbt initially so I'm not sure to be honest. What makes you fairly certain? I've seen a fair few other people say similar after coming off the pill. Is there any advice to help ovulate or is it a case of waiting it out?

@blodyn91 cancelled weddings + TTC makes things so complex 🙄 Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you! I'm CD36 on my third cycle off with no ovulation yet 🙄 But have had three separate occasions lasting a few days at a time of EWCM so seems my body is trying and just not quite managing. We are still officially getting married on our original September date this year but just with a small ceremony with 10 guests, have postponed the 'wedding' until September next year. Not sure whether we will stop trying if we are not pregnant by late September/October time 😕 X

@Navabb34 I'm not getting any kind of temp rise on the two cycles I've charted BBT, plus first cycle I had three LH surges and one final positive but then AF came four days later, and this cycle one surge yesterday (CD35) but not a positive and no temp rise so far, so not looking hopeful! X

@Navabb34 oh and seems to be a case of waiting it out. Really hope cycle 4 is better, just want AF to arrive now as this cycle has been absolute nonsense 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wrote a message then my phone died!
This article came up on my femometr app today. Basically 7-9 months is pretty normal time to let your body adjust post pill, but for some it can be less or more 🤷🏼‍♀️
My bbt rose this morning, confirming ovulation yesterday. So I am ovulating, I just cant get preggers 🙈
It does take 3 months to mature an egg, so I do think the first 3 months post pill you could not ovulate/egg not as good quality. People who have had kids also recover quicker post pill

Thanks for sharing @blodyn91 that's really interesting, but then at the same time i'm like 'why am I in the 10% not ovulating!' which is still I know.

In other news I had a temp spike today! I went from 36.13 yesterday to 36.6 this morning, and that was following the darkest OPK I've had so far two days ago and masses of EWCM. Not going to get too excited yet as obviously need to see what the next few days of temps are like, hoping they stay high! x

@blodyn91 oh and when I say darkest OPK I've had so far, I mean so far this cycle as it wasn't a positive, which is why I wasn't thinking ovulation was going to happen any time soon!

Hello everyone. Sorry to hijack a thread but you all seem to have good knowledge of temping and I could do with some help.

I thought I ovulated 2 days ago (CD19). I had all the usual signs - EWCM and a peak opk. I usually ovulate one the day of my peak and get a temp spike the next day.

This month I have had no rise other than back to what it was before a big dip. However I’ve been a bit stressed with work and have slept terribly the last 2 nights. Cd20 I took my temp 2 hours earlier than normal after being awake for 2 hours unable to sleep. Today (CD21) I took my temp an hour earlier than normal when I woke up after an ok-ish sleep.

I’m worried I haven’t ovulated but wondering if my temps could just be staying low due to bad sleep? Terrible timing for it!

@mintgreenlife that sounds very promising! hope you have managed to dtd!!

@LuckyFlash I do think stress and lack of sleep really does mess the readings up! Since you tempted early today it probably would be higher if you had temped same time as usual, then the one after a crap sleep is just invalid really. See what it does tomorrow, but sometimes worrying about bbt makes you have a crap sleep- its a vicious cycle! I take mine at 4:30-5am. OH gets up then for work and passes it to me 🙊 but on weekends its always later which gives me mini spikes
