Confused by my suddenly weird cycle (TTC) - please help!

Update: AF arrived, around 10 days late - I now think my body's first attempt at ovulation was delayed by stress, so I had a second LH surge (undetected) and ovulated later in the month, hence late period.

Lesson for next cycle: Be less stressed (ha) and don't stop DTD too soon...

@TheDaydreamBelievers - Thank you. I just started taking my temp and using the Femometer app yesterday... so if my period ever comes (!) I should have a baseline by the time I'm due to ovulate.

My previous two cycles were the expected length and my periods were normal, but I had some spotting in the week before my period each time.

I'm trying to put it down to the weird lockdown situation and hope things are better from now on.

Lh surges only indicate your body is gearing up to ovulate, not that you actually did. I have read temps are a better indicator, if you take those?

On one weird cycle I wouldn't worry too much- it happens! Can even just be thrown by stress. Hope AF comes soon and that the next one has normalised

I’m 38 and been TTC child #2 for about 6 months - and suddenly my cycle has gone weird sad

Really worried now, as the timings don’t make sense! Is it possible to ovulate, but then start a period MORE than 14 days later?

Or can something like stress cause a period to be delayed, even if ovulation was on schedule?

I had a positive OPK (LH surge) on day 14, so ovulation was probably day 15. But it’s now day 34 and no period. Not pregnant (confirmed by several tests). Cycle is usually an average of 26 days.

I had a difficult week when ovulation was due, so maybe it didn’t happen (despite LH surge).

This gives me fertility concerns and I don’t know where I stand with my cycle. Feeling stressed about it definitely isn’t helping matters! Stress has been a problem in recent months (for other reasons).

Any advice on the weird timings would be MUCH appreciated...
