Hi ,

We've just started trying for baby number 2 and I started taking pregnacare conception. My period is normally like clock work every month and always lasts 5 days this month my period has only lasted 2-3 days I'm just wondering if anybody else has experience this? I know it contains no hormones that should throw your period off but I've read in other forums it has actually affected woman's periods??

I started taking it this month and my period was 2 weeks late! I can’t think of anything else that it could have been so I’m going to look into a different supplement!

So strange..... think I'm going to just stick to folic acid from now on! I've read so many things saying it can affect periods.

I tried it for a while and it made my cycle 5 days shorter and I ovulated earlier! Then had a period that went on for 10 days instead of my usual 5!

@Semele5069 what happened when you stopped taking it? I was taking it for about a year then stopped about 2 weeks before my last period was due. My period then came 5 days earlier than expected, but now I'm on on CD21 with no smiley face on OPK. It's not unusual for my cycle to vary but I haven't had it this long for a fair few months. I'm just wondering if stopping taking it has effected this cycle..?

Sorry to jump on your post OP (can't tag you for some reason).

Just to let you know, I've been referred to a fertility specialist, and the only things he recommends taking is folic acid and vitamin D3

@Daffodil21 I've only just stopped it and changed to the Seven Seas Trying for a Baby this month. I wasn't on the Pregnacare long, just 6 weeks, but my full cycle in that time was so different to normal it had to be them. They were the only thing that was different and I'm usually very regular.
