How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Depending on your age will determine how early on they'll start investigations from my experience

I had to have been trying for 12 months before they would refer me to the fertility clinic

I rang the doctors at month 10 and they made me wait until I hit the 12 month mark, I got an appointment the following month x

I went to the GP when I was 30 - we'd been 'trying' for a long time but only once we were married did we start being really concerned. Our GP told us that given my age - I should have made an appointment before 12 months (which shocked me because I didn't think 30 was "getting on").
Also, given the current pandemic, it wouldn't hurt to try and book an advanced appointment? Worst case they'll say no and you have to wait another 2 months?

@CherrytreeView yeah that sounds weird lol i wouldnt class my age as getting on either, my partner has a daughter from his previous marriage so i feel like it must be me that there is an issue with Confused

How would they know unless you’ve had the coil or implant taken out of it’s not 12 months just say it is.

@xoxochellexoxo my partner also has a daughter from a previous relationship... it was him with the problem we only found out after me being tested for years he finally went in for a scan on his manhood and turned out he had a varicocele

@JustAddCoffee91 aw really? I just assumed it would be me with the issue given the fact he has a child. I know they say give it 12 months but you never ever think its going to take that long to conceive
