Hey Op, what sort of test is it?

Report
blackisland · 16/06/2020 20:07

It is a plain white plastic packet from the pharmacist when I got the ellaone

@charpley162

Ellaone is the morning after pill.

Thanks op, it looks positive to me. Are you ok?

@blackisland definitely looks positive to me. Maybe try another test in 48 hours to double check? How are you feeling?

We have 2 children, much older. Our GP could not help with copper coil cos they’re not doing this service during covid. I did ask her about ovulation timing but was told not to worry. Waiting time now, I guess and will check at 14dpo

Ivr never used that particular brand and i know blue dye tests are worse for evaps but it does look pretty positive. Usually evaporation lines are colourless. Did it come up straight away or a while after taking the test?

Within few mins. Yes, you’re right it’s blue. But pale

It doesn't sound like a typical evap line then I'm afraid, I think they normally happen outside of recommended test time.

We were feeling quite confident. But boobs feel like when I was breastfeeding years ago, heavy and sore, like let down. So i did test just to check

and I don’t think ellaone does have that side effect more than a week after taking

Are you able to test again, maybe with a different brand such as a First Response as they are very reliable? Other than that I suppose all you can do is wait/call the Dr but going by your picture I would definitely be thinking BFP.

I don't like to tell you this OP but I'm just sat listening to my 'morning after pill baby' snoring in her cot. She is the best thing ever to happen and has been such a blessing BUT was a massive surprise and very much unplanned. Most morning after pills don't work if you take them after you have ovulated......which I know now!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

This happened to me, contraception failure around ovulation, took Ella one within 12hrs. 10dpo got a faint positive test and felt pregnant. Got two more positive tests (never any darker than the first). Period came a day earlier than expected.
Hope you're ok OP?

Definitely looks positive to me, like the test I took a few days prior to period when I found out I was pregnant with DS.
Maybe try again in a few days with a First Response or similar.
I hope you are ok Flowers
