If so, can you recommend a thermometer? I looked on amazon but there are loads! Some super cheap and some pretty pricey - I'm just not sure what to buy.

Hello! I’m very new to all this but am giving it a go! I’m using the Natural Cycles app and they include a thermometer with the subscription signup.naturalcycles.com/en-GB/signup/secret?code=referralid20&referral=f74ubcg0xokyi6se I’ve only been using for a few weeks but so far am pleased with it!

@Esah thank you. I'm a bit reluctant to do a subscription but thanks for the recommendation.

@Daisy545 I was looking at that one, so I'll order it. thank you.

I've been using the £9.99 femometer one on amazon. Does the job!

I also use natural cycles and can only say positive things.
Personally rather pay the £40 than faff about with paper and the guess work. But totally get why it puts some people off.

It needs to be to 00.00 degree I.e 36.65c

I wouldn't skimp on it, they need to be very sensitive. Think about wether you want a backlight or not?

I just take mine when I wake up with OH goes to work, don't look at put it bedside table, sleep for an hour and read it an hour later. So memory is important for me.

Also the beeping, I need it to wake me up again as I can take up to 30 seconds and I fall back asleep with it in my mouth.
Other people don't want beeping as it wakes their partner up

Another Natural Cycles fan here. Used it for contraception before TTC and it was easy to switch over. Having seen other ladies posting their charts and trying to interpret I’m so glad I did, no guess work it just tells you where you are.

the femometer one is good it is 00.00, also has memory, so once it stops beeping you can put it down and look at it later. Then all you do it type it into the app which is free and it will graph it up, I also bought the fermometr OPKs for less than £10 off amazon

The Femometer one takes so long to read your temp though. 2 mins? And no light on it to see if you're taking your temp whilst it's dark.

@kirinm When it beeps I turn it off, go back to sleep, then read it when I wake with my alarm.
I take my temp when OH gets up at 5:30

I used my new Femometer for the first time today. It took about 30 seconds to read the temp and the beep was quiet so didn't wake DH. I'm happy! Thank you for the recommendation.
