Hi all, just looking for some reassurances that I'm not completely broken! Currently on CD51 and AF is m.i.a..

I track my cycles and it doesn't appear I've ovulated yet. I normally have regular 28-30ish day cycles and I've never skipped a period before. What on earth is going on? I'm only 30 and had a bit of a fertility mot in feb which didn't raise anything to be concerned about.

GP very uninterested at the minute and told me they think my period will just start again in 2-3months 😑. They seemed to hint it was stress related but I've not felt stressed at all. I am starting to feel anxious now thought about my sudden lack of cycle.

TTC first baby after MMC in November last year. It would have been my due date in just over a week so feeling particularly sorry for myself right now 😒

Just giving this a bump to see if anyone has any insight/advice?

I'm in exactly the same situation but I'm now cycle day 82 and loosing the will to live, I've always had regular cycles up until now. I'm adamant that it had something to do with the prenatal care tablets I was taking.

My GP also was really disinterested when I spoke to them, they just said they will investigate if I miss another period.

Fingers crossed that AF arrives for you soon xx

@Lauren1288 sorry you're experiencing similar! It's so bizarre. I've been taking prenatal vitamins for a long time now so I don't think this is the case for me. Have you just started to take them?

Do you know if you have ovulated yet?

I'm worried that something more sinister is going on. The GP didn't seem concerned at all and when I tried to explain what I was concerned about/other symptoms I was told we were scrapping the barrel trying to find something! Really unhelpful and did nothing to ease my worries.

I hope you get some good news too soon. Are you ttc?

Good luck to you both! According to my app I’m on CD 41, and a week and 5 days late

Hi, how are you both getting on? Still nothing happening here! Not sure when to go back to GP... they said they believe it will just return in 2-3months well I'm almost on CD60 now and this has never happened before! Something just doesn't seem right but think the GP will think I'm wasting their time if I go back now😒

Hey @Fizzl, CD 47 and verrrrrry fed up! Took a HPT this morn and it was a BFN, but it was a Morrison's own brand and after reading some reviews, turns out it may not be the most reliable!

It's frustrating, I don't have any cramps or boob pain - the only weird thing i've experienced is itchy nips (sorry for the TMI) and boobs looking a tad bigger than usual. How are you doing? Gawd it sucks right now doesn't it :/

@tweedledo so annoying! I also took another test this morning just to be 10000% sure before I indulge in some wine this weekend! Obviously it was negative and I'm still certain I've not ovulated 😞. We've given up ttc for now so I know for sure that until my period arrives I'm not pregnant as I can't cope with feeling in limbo for so long.

Other than having some brown spotting 3 weeks ago I've had nothing! No symptoms for anything - ovulation or af. It's like my body is in neutral. Only plus side is my skin is loads better than what it is normally. GP has always said they think it was hormonal and that would probably explain why my skin is so clear at the minute because my hormones are clearly doing nothing 🙄

Here's hoping something happens for us soon 🤞 if not I want my gp to prescribe something to kickstart my period.

Hi interested you know your outcomes guys as I'm on CD 50 and no AF! Cycles average 32 days usually :(

@Eanrcs88 have you had the vaccine recently? It threw mine off by over 20 days after each dose.

@Eanrcs88 sorry your having trouble with your cycle! The good news is mine did eventually return back to normal. I started acupuncture to try and help and it may have been coincidence but shortly after my period returned! We started trying again the following month once things had settled back down and I fell pregnant in sept - my due date was yesterday but I'm still very pregnant! I was very sceptical about acupuncture before but I was desperate and now I'm a total convert! I've continued to go since being pregnant and she's also helped with pelvic pain and has worked miracles. It could be complete coincidence or placebo effect but either way I'm sure it did the trick. Good luck - hopefully things settle down for you too!

@Fizzl

Thanks so much for the reply and congratulations to you!!

I am defo going to try acupuncture. Done some researching on it and it sounds great.

Update on me.

Was about to give up ovulation testing after 9 days of flashing smiley on a cb, and a stark white negative on ICs yesterday, I thought I may as well use the remaining sticks I have left (2!)...and today I got a static smiley and a dark line on opk! On day 10 of flashy smileys, and on cycle day 61!

DTD today for sure and just feel so much better knowing my body is working.

Only thing I thought, is the quality of egg affected after this long? Seems a silly thought but did cross my mind!

Good news! That sounds very similar to me. I had a positive ovulation test day 63 in that cycle and my period finally arrived day 76 in July. My next cycle was still longer - it was 40 days with a quite late ovulation but the cycle after that all seemed to go back to normal with ovulation closer to the middle of my cycle.

I'm not sure about the quality of the egg - I think I had the same worry at the time! But to be honest there are lots of people who have long cycles because of things like pcos and still fall pregnant so I doubt it has too much of an impact. Plus if egg quality is really poor I guess it's unlikely to fertilise etc anyway so probably nothing to worry about - and if that is the case it might just mean you're less likely to fall pregnant this month (but I guess that could be the case any month if you release an egg which isn't great quality?). So I wouldn't worry.

Id definitely recommend acupuncture if you can afford it. It's quite pricey but even if it is placebo effect for me it's been worth every penny so far. The only thing she's not succeeded in so far is getting this baby out of me 😂 but after trying for so long and her helping to get this baby inside in the first place I'll let that go 😄

@Eanrcs88 hello! I know this is from a while back but I came across it when I was searching for a similar thing. Would you mind sharing the outcome of ovulating so late? I believe I've ovulated around CD50 and was looking for some success stories :)

@helloimlaura hey! So I got my period in June after the really really long cycle, then I ovulated literally back to normal in July (I think 2 weeks after my period), DTD on 24th July 2021 and got pregnant 😁😁😁😁 I am currently sat with my baby asleep on my chest, 10 weeks old, born in April 2022.

So I'd call that a success I guess ;)

All the best with your journey ❤️

@helloimlaura no problem at all! I remember how torn up I was about the longest cycle ever, but I think it's more common than I first thought.. I called my GP about it at the time and they didn't seem concerned about it either... All the very best ❤️

Oh wow this has bought back some memories!

Congrats @Eanrcs88 sounds like you experienced very similar to me!

My daughter turned 1 yesterday so reading this old thread feels very strange!

She's also asleep on me - still enjoying all the cuddles even at 1 🥰.

Good luck @helloimlaura . I know I mentioned it in my previous post but I still believe acupuncture helped to regulate my cycles. I was very skeptical before but we're now thinking of baby no.2 and I will be going back again I think.

@Eanrcs88 thank you, really hope it sorts itself out soon. My cycles have been really long since I stopped taking the pill but I did fall pregnant through ovulating on CD37 but sadly that ended in miscarriage in Feb 💔 currently ttc again but getting very frustrated with this cycle and worried there's a correlation between late ovulation and miscarriage!

@Fizzl it's funny you say that as I literally inquired today about acupuncture, I definitely think I will try it. Thank you :)
