Anyone starting their TWW now?

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone is starting their TWW now? I got my peak on OPK yesterday around 2pm, another peak this morning but not as dark as yesterday! Think I have ovulated today (had some weird pains and cramps!) so now it’s a waiting game!

AF should be due on 19th/20th June but this is my first proper cycle since a MC back in April so not 100% sure if I’m going back to 28 days.

Anyway some TWW buddies would be lovely to keep ourselves sane Grin

Hey!

I'm 2DPO and on my 2WW.

I get quite strong ovulation pains but still cramping for some reason! I know i definitely ovulated as i used the strips and clearblue advanced.

Here's to a long 2 weeks Hmm

Hello! I'm 1DPO today. I got my peak OPK on Friday morning so I'm assuming that I ovulated yesterday. My cycles tend to be 29 days and I ovulate on CD19, so it's not quite a full two week wait for me, more like 11 days. AF is due 17th June so now it's a waiting game! It'll be nice to have people to talk to during the wait 😊

Hello @Kaybobx and @bluebubbles12 so nice to have you on board!

Is it your first baby? And how long have you been TTC?

I’ve realised for the first time that despite having a 28 day cycle I don’t ovulate on CD14 but actually CD17! We’ve usually given up with the regular baby making by then Grin now I’ve got to grips with the OPK feeling positive about this cycle!

Hello, can I join?
I am currently 3DPO.
Got my positive OPK on the 3rd, so presuming I ovulated on the 4th.
No real symptoms yet, except I was very emotional today, crying for no reason.
Hopefully that's a good sign!

It's my second month TTC. Had an ectopic which I had to get my left tube removed in February at 6 weeks pregnant. We got pregnant first go on the first time. Fingers crossed this month is the month xx

Of course @BMWL nice to have you with us! So nice to have others in the same time frame, I had a look for other threads but they all looked further ahead. Sorry to hear about your ectopic, my MC was around 6 weeks too. Hoping for a smooth ride this time and trying not to worry too much.
Wish we could figure out what’s going on inside it’s so frustrating this waiting malarkey.
Mind you if I am back to 28 day cycles then I only have an 11 day wait so that’s something!

@yoomoo yeah first baby. Will it be yours too? I came off the pill in January and have been using Flo to track my cycle, but that always assumes I ovulate on CD14. Used OPKs for the first time last month and was surprised that I don't ovulate until CD19! So yeah, same as you, we'd finished timing DTD by CD19!

Sorry to hear about yours and @BMWL miscarriages.

@bluebubbles12 yep my first Smile although have a stepdaughter too! She will be a great big sister.
Having funny twinges on my right side this evening, must be the egg busting it’s way out Grin never even noticed these things before TTC now I feel every single niggle in my tummy area.
Anyone else been temping? I did it this cycle so just waiting to see the ovulation spike, last 2 days it’s been up 0.2 degrees thinking it might go up more tomorrow if I did indeed ovulate today. Very intriguing seeing my temp each day!

@youmoo aww lovely, I have a stepson too!

It's funny isn't it, years and years of paying zero attention to it and now you notice everything! I can't believe how much I've learnt over the past few months too.

I haven't done any temping. How do you find it? Do you find that it supports what the OPKs say?

Morning @yoomoo @BMWL @bluebubbles12
So sorry to hear of the rough ride you have had. I can't begin to imagine how that felt for you both.
Ive been TTC for 9 months now, it will be my second should it ever happen! I have a 2 year old girl who will be the most amazing big sister. I thought it was easy the second time around but i guess not.

Totally with you on the twinges, i feel every little thing now haha. I still feel like i have cramps abit 3DPO. Last month i ovulated on CD20, this month was CD16! Why are our bodies so complicated?
I used the cheap strips and also a clear blue advanced digital.
Interested to hear about the temping too?
Ive never done this, do you find it effective?

Be great to do the TWW wait you girls, its a long old time. Keep us all posted of any symptoms Smile

Hi @Kaybobx Smile
I ovulated on CD16 this month, whereas last month it was something crazy like CD 26. My periods have been all over the place since the ectopic.
Only other symptoms I've had is feeling emotional yesterday for no reason, my right hip has been quite sore, out of the blue, it's like the bone is really tender- it's the same pain I got when I ovulated so I don't know what's going on.
Have mildly sore boobs and was awake half the night lash night unable to sleep.
Hopefully they are positive signs, fingers crossed xx

@BMWL isn't the human body crazy?! Last month i really thought i was pregnant. I had extremely sore boobs, headaches, emotional and then my period was 4 days late (I'm usually very regular). However this month i have nothing other than cramping in what feels like my right ovary. I cant really remember what it was like leading upto my first pregnancy, i do remember feeling like my period was coming for the week before i found out though so was quite shocked when i found out.
Fingers crossed for us all. X

Morning all, I have found temping to be good actually. You have to be really consistent and make sure you take it as soon as you wake up, I always wake up naturally around 7am so do it then even if I go back to sleep at the weekend. My temp is still up, only by 0.20 but I think the range after ovulation is 0.2-0.4. Will see if it goes up more tomorrow at all. If we haven’t conceived then it will drop the day before AF comes- it definitely did last cycle so knew I was out! If you look at a chart for a successful cycle you can also see implantation dips, usually temp will drop for one day then shoot back up again. We are all different but I find it all very intriguing.
These are my OPKs most recently, I think I ovulated Saturday evening/Sunday morning. The 200 Peak was darker in real life than yesterday’. I must have a long surge. Never been able to see my peak before, so excited my body is working as it should 😂

Waiting for my sore boobs to kick in, always have them in TWW.
The month I conceived I didn’t get my BFP until a week after I was due so I kinda knew there was something up. Excited to hopefully get a better line this time.

Anyone else excited for a little rest this week, bloody knackered Grin I can’t believe all through school they scare the life out of you with the ‘only takes one time’ crap Grin

Me! I am 1dpo and woke up this morning feeling uncharacteristically nauseous. Trying not to read too much into it - its very soon and I am new at all this! Could be acid or something. Due on 24th so it’s a long 2ww.

yoomoo · 08/06/2020 13:38

Welcome @Mistymonday I’m also 1DPO (possibly 2 but I’ll go with 1!) The symptom spotting will drive us all crazy! People say it’s impossible to have pregnancy symptoms at this early stage but I reckon a definite shift in hormones impacts us all!
My boobs are starting to feel vaguely sore and tingly, oh the joy Grin could be because I’ve been prodding them tho 😂

@yoomoo I think I'll give temping a go next month then if it hasn't worked out this month. Did you buy a special thermometer and do you use a particular app? I use the Femometer app to log my OPKs and I think I recall seeing a section for temperature. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that though!!

Haha yes I'm looking forward to the rest this week too! My husband jokes that he doesn't mind it carrying on for a few more months because I'll take it all away from him once there's a baby 😂

Report
yoomoo · 08/06/2020 13:51

Fingers crossed you won’t need it. I would recommend this one though, found it really easy to use. I also put my temps into the Femometer app. They do a Bluetooth version but I didn’t want to fork out for that 😂 you can use any thermometer that shows that amount of decimal places though.

Hello everyone - I am about halfway through the 2WW, around 8/9 DPO at the moment. Today I have had some dull cramping in my abdomen, and have also been really thirsty with a dry mouth. My boobs feel quite full and heavy but not particularly sore. This could all mean nothing though, of course! I'm just scrutinising every feeling, like we all are during this time.

Have been half-trying for our first for about 6 months (not using protection but not tracking anything) and as we've had no luck that way I have just started to use ovulation tests and track my BBT.

Fingers crossed for a speedy 2WW all round and some BFPs to come!

Hello can I join in please? 🙋‍♀️

I got my smiley yesterday am and should be ovulating today (although my instinct is last night or during the night). Anyway starting 2ww
Should be due on around 23rd June.

Welcome ladies!

Sounds good @Darcy86 the cramps could be a good sign especially this far out from AF! Are you going to test in a few days? You could be our first tester!

@Kangaroo77 just behind me and @Mistymonday! I think I ovulated in the evening of the day I got my peak on the cheapie OPK, reckon if I’d done the clearblue that afternoon I’d have got it too. I’ve marked ovulation as yesterday anyway just in case!

I wish we could somehow forget about the TWW! All this wondering drives me potty, glad I’ve got you ladies to chat to as DP would look at me like this Hmm
So today at 1/2DPO I’ve had a bunged up nose/feeling generally run down plus weird twinges in my right ovary area. I know it’s nothing but I’ll analyse it anyway Grin

Nice to have company! Smile

I have tingly nipples, which is new. Really trying to play it cool though on symptom spotting, it’s unlikely to happen on the first go statistically and we are both quite old Grin

Hi @bluebubbles12 and @yoomoo - I've got this mental block about testing early, I can't quite articulate why but I almost feel as if I'm tempting fate - I know, makes no sense! So I'll almost certainly wait until AF is late/if she doesn't arrive. Due between Tues-Thurs next week although my cycles can be a bit unpredictable at times so we'll see.

I did think that too about the cramping but then I doubt myself, I.e. was it just the massive roast dinner yesterday?! 😂 sorry to lower the tone! You know how it is though during this period - it's like I'm reading so far into everything my body is feeling, sometimes I need to just try and keep my feet on the ground a little to avoid the huge smack of disappointment if it's not our month.

Fingers firmly crossed for all of us 🤞

@Darcy86 haha don't worry, I get you!! You just notice everything don't you. I'm trying not to pay too much attention to anything I'm feeling, unless something really out of the ordinary happens!

AF is due for me on Wednesday 17th, so we'll be testing close together!

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's news over the next couple of weeks 🤞
