DP and I have not been using any contraception for a while- maybe a year or so. We both have funny jobs so it means dtd can be a bit hap hazard and we can't always get in on when I am supposed to be fertile so we haven't been very regimented in when we do it. I also have an older child with additional needs and often have to sleep with her at night if she is restless which doesn't really go hand in hand with making babies.
Up until now all I have used is the fertility app Ovia but I think we might need a bit more help. I only have 1 Fallopian tube as I lost one to an ectopic about 10 years ago so I am guessing that might be hindering us too. Plus dp is rocking his way into his 40's so age might be against us.

How do opk's work? Are you supposed to dtd on the day you get a positive? does pre-seed actually do anything and as gross as it sounds, how do you use it.
This is all a bit new to me. My DD wasn't planned so ovulation etc wasn't really an issue then.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Clear blue opks are good! Easy to use and read. You usually ovulate from 12 to 36 hours after you first see a smiley face.

Pre-seed can be bought with syringes, which you insert inside; but if you have enough cm you shouldn't really need that.

Although having said that I've been trying a good while now and nothing 😩

I read online that a lot of people have used pre-seed regardless of their CM levels and then gone on to conceive. I watched a couple of youtube reviews which were interested. Apparently a little goes a long way. I have a tilted cervix so I am wondering if this is making things a little harder.
I think my plan of action is to lose some weight ( I need to shift about 2 stone) then start using the OPK and pre-seed. I am also going to try propping my hips up after we have dtd.
I have been reading about supplements that people swear by too. Agnus Castus seems to come highly recommended. Trying to do as much as I can without dp's knowledge as he hates the pressure. He's adamant that his swimmers don't work but won't go to the DR to get them checked! bloody man!
