I took it last month to try and lengthen my LP. It lengthened FP by 2 days but LP was unaffected. My period only lasted 2 days instead of the usual 7. I’m trying it again this month so I’ll keep you posted if it helps in any way! X

I'm interested in this too! Also TTC #2 since Oct 2019 with not even a hint of a line (conceived #1 first cycle). This month I started taking COQ10 as I read that it improves egg quality but I read that takes 3 months to have an impact on the eggs. I'd be keen to know if anyone thinks Angus Cactus helps!

Hi, I’ve been taking Angus castus as I have really irregular periods. This month was the first month I’ve every felt myself ovulate. Which to me feels like a plus. I’m currently 11DPO but haven’t tested yet as I want to try and wait until the weekend. My luteal phase is normally anything between 14-16days.

*just to clarify, I’ve only been taking half the dose as I was worried about it messing up my cycle too much. I also only take them during FP, as soon as I get a positive OPK, I stop taking them and then restart when AF arrives again x

@Suki2020 hi, I am looking to take it for the same reason, what dosage do you take everyday? I can't find anything on how much to take and how often 😩 x

Hi,
definitely give it a try. Only take up to ovulation when TTC!
I've taken it to TTC #1 and am now back on it after a TMFR to get my cycles back.
My sister (midwife) recommended it when I came off the pill and my cycles where extremely long. Since I've recommended it to many people, my friend actually had to cancel her IVF plan because she fell pregnant on it.

Another poster started taking vitamin b complex, Co enz 10 and agnus and got a bfp so Ive been on the vitamin b and Co enz 10 for about 4 months and had a chemical in Feb. This month I added agnus c (Holland and Barrett)and got a bfp again- the lines are much darker. Plus I only have one tube! No idea if it was coincidence but I read up on them all and there are minimal side effects and lots of evidence to support the use of it x

How many days did you take it for , before you got your bfp?xx

I started that month so think it was about cd2 until about cd21 but I carried on until I got my strong line at cd26 assuming that I wouldn't get pregnant this month and It needs to be taken a while to work apparently. I ovulated a day later than normal too- I'm usually cd10 or 11 but this month was cd12.

@myajane - it took 3 cycles

*Edit: I've only taken it three weeks to get my body to ovulate and got a (faint) BFP two days ago. A bit of a shock but I guess the whole "don't take it if you don't want to fall pregnant" is true. Although not sure how much of this was actually the AC, seems a bit fast, but I just always think it doesn't hurt to try.

Back in 2017 I had come of the pill with no af so I took it after 4 months just in the hope for an af but 6 weeks later got a positive! Could have been coincidence but I believe it was the reason!

Tried again this year with dd to shorten my cycles as they were really long and I just kept getting thrush so I gave up but caught naturally so who knows

I'd recommend them if you have done your research ☺️

I've just ordered some of this along with Coq10. AS AF turned up today. I take it you can take them both together? Is it ok to take them both continuously until a BFP or do you know if you have to stop once you get a BFP?

@Chlo2701 I’ve only been taking AG up until ovulation each cycle, that’s what I’ve been told to do from other ladies who have been successful. It actually says on the pack “do not take if pregnant or trying to get pregnant” and that scared me a bit 😳

I took mine until my line got darker, but probably would have stopped at my bfp. There are studies with it having been tested on pregnant women for specific issues but as its not been tested to make sure it's specifically safe and can't cause issues it's probably best not to (which is why they put don't take it on the bottle too-they don't know its safe unlike folic acid, pregnacare etc which they have tested to be sure its ok)

Hi hoping to join as I've recently been taking agnus to lengthen my follicular phase as I ovulate early. I was due to ovulate tomorrow on cd10 so I'd usually get my surge today but I didn't. Do most stop taking it once they get their surge or should I just stop today cos I already know its lengthened my follicular phase? Thanks for any advice!

Hi can I join?
Does anyone know if you can talk AG while also taking pregnacare?

Report
notyetamumbuttrying · 25/05/2020 09:19

I was @MrscJan2018. I took agnus in the morning and pregnacare in the evening to space them out but not sure if you had to or not, I just thought it best I did.
