I know its not that long really since TTC. But when you want something so bad its just frustrating and i feel really selfish as i know theirs a lot more women who are in the same boat as me/ situations worse than mine. I just wanted any tips off women who have finally got BFP. I came off the pill in January (Yasmin) and been TTC ever since.. I've been taken Pregnacare conception tablets but noticed my periods were getting delayed, having AF over a week late and i noticed a few people said that they had this with those tablets, so i have stopped taking them now. Me and my partner DTD regular, pretty much everyday. I bought Concieve Plus lubricant hoping that would help and also clear blue digital ovulation kit. AF came on Monday a week late again so I'm out this month. I really do feel like it isn't going to happen.

Hi OP,

your period isn't 'late', your body is still adjusting to being free from HBC and you ovulate later than it would suggest in the 'standard female cycle' of 28 days.

There are a few things you can do... first and easiest - track your cervical mucus. Best is to do this internally. Before ovulation you get egg white like cm, that's the best time to have sex as it's the best cm for sperm to travel and survive.

You can also use OPKs which indicate when you're about to ovulate.

You can take other supplements like Agnus Castus, this is a natural fertility booster that gets your hormones back on track. This should only be taken up to ovulation.

Hi, I came off the pill (Yasmin) in the last week of October and conceived mid-March I was also using seven seas trying for a baby vitamins. It took a few months of really odd length cycles (one was 40+ days) but body just needed time to get back to normal after the contraceptives were out of system.
It can be frustrating and its ok to feel that way as you spend so many years in past thinking if I forget the pill I will end up pregnant but even though I didnt have too long to wait in comparison to others it still felt like a long time to me as wanted it so much.

Okay, I understand how you can work yourself up about it (I’ve been ttc since jan/feb when I had my copper coil out) but it’s way too early to be saying things like ‘it’ll never happen’. Putting pressure and stress like that on yourself is so counterproductive.
It takes time to return to a normal, functional cycle after being on hormonal contraception. Your body needs time to adjust and it’s probably still in that period of time right now.
Have you looked into cervical mucus tracking and temperature tracking?
FWIW I think it’s fairly generally accepted that DTD every other day is optimal for ttc.
