I have one child already and wanting another. I am a high risk during the Corona virus and would have to have 2 weekly antenatal appointments. I'm just wondering if I hold off trying to conceive for a few months until we know what's happening or not ?
My friends have said as long as your socially distancing hospitals are quiet and safe and should go for it and I really want to but part of me is worried
Any thoughts ?

It's not something I'd put off tbh because who knows how long it could take to conceive

I wouldn't normally say to put it off at all.....but you need to be realistic that you are unlikely to get your fortnightly monitoring - I know lots of high risk pregnant ladies at the moment and they are getting a fraction of the contact they normally would

I'm high risk and I havent stopped trying- i also work in a hospital. Yes the contact is reduced like all clinics but most appointments can be conducted over the phone and there are drive through bloods at some trusts. All ultrasounds will still be done just you probably won't be able to take anyone with you.
I got a bfp this morning so will need early scans if i make it to 6 weeks but I will just make sure I don't get close to anyone in the waiting room, will wash my hands thoroughly before leaving and again when I walk in at home and make sure the staff I deal with are wearing ppe (aprons, masks and wash their hands before touching me- don't feel afraid to ask them to!)

Ahh thankyou, my risks are pregnancy related but i would def get advice from your diabetic team even if it's just finding out what changes there are to the process x
