Hi,
New on here! I have 2 children from a previous relationship and currently on cycle number 3 of TTC.
Pretty sure I'm 1dpo today, cycles are usually around 31 days. AF due on the 24th! Anyone else around the same dpo and want to chat?

I’m 1dpo :) I had a mc 2 weeks ago and a CP the month before. I have another child from a previous relationship. My cycles usually last 29 days but I’m u sure of when af will be here due to mc. This will be month 6 ttc from the beginning.

Thank you :) are you still at work or are you at home during lock down. I am still at home at the minute. I was at home shielding during to pregnancy as my work is high risk, but now moved to sick line due to my mc so hoping I can keep myself occupied at home

@2020wish hi! Aww I'm so sorry to hear about your MC and CP. How are you feeling about things this month?
@suki2020 hey! Ahh long cycles can be a pain, are you using ovulation tests? I have done this month so hoping I have caught things at the right time! 🤞

@Jessiemay2020 yeah this cycle was my first time using OPK’s and I managed to spot my surge so I’m hoping my timed DTD right. Just hoping my temp keeps rising now. How did you find using OPK’s?

@2020wish oh I'm so sorry, I can't imagine how you are feeling. I hope this is your month too.
@suki2020 which ones are you using? I've got the one step cheap ones. I'm hoping they are right with their results. I have to say I am worried I'm trying too hard by using them although I have said once they've gone I won't buy anymore. Its almost like an addiction though, same as pregnancy tests each month... Testing far too early but I can't help myself. This month I won't be buying any until AF is late!

@jessiemay2020 yeah I’m using one step too. I only started using them on the 4th May and had my peak 8th/9th May so I think I was lucky. I’m on cycle day 52 though so I had to wait a long time for ovulation. I’ve never used OPK’s until this month but if I don’t fall pregnant this month I will use them again as I think I may have missed my peak time if I hadn’t of used them. Do you temp as well?
@2020wish how are you doing today?

Jessiemay2020 · 12/05/2020 11:18

@suki2020 i had mine on the 9th, having said that the line wasn't quite as dark as the control line and it had gotten lighter as the day went on, now wondering whether the actual peak was through the night before... I've not been taking temps although it is something I'd quite like to do just for another indication.

@Jessiemay2020 you may have peaked the night before if it wasn’t as dark and getting lighter. Have you taken another OPK since you ovulated?

Report
Jessiemay2020 · 12/05/2020 13:31

That's what I'm hoping and thinking! Yeah the 10th it was a lot lighter and again yesterday there was barely a line so I'm taking it as the ones I had taken on the 9th were positive, I must've taken 6 lol!!

@jessiemay2020 yeah I would say you peaked throughout the night. Do you know what number your peaks were at? Do you keep a record of them?

Jessiemay2020 · 12/05/2020 15:39

@suki2020 no idea on the numbers. What I did find strange, a little over a week before the positives I had the ewcm... I didn't have any at all during those positives or the last few days, I could have sworn I ovulated earlier before just by the cm but the tests were negative at that point. I'm trying to symptom spot purely ovulation and learn what my body is up to but it's hard when things don't match up how they are 'supposed' lol!
With my first born, I wasn't trying and he was a big surprise and then my second born, it took 2 years... Lots of heartbreak every month and then when I finally gave up trying and went to go on the pill I was pregnant! I'm trying so hard not to get obsessed like before but it's near to impossible really

@jessiemay2020 do you use an app? I use Femometer and fertility friend. On Femometer I take photos which is uploaded and that helps track ovulation with adding CM and temping. I know what you mean about waiting so long. I came off the pill in feb 2018 and still nothing although I only started tracking it in jan this year. Maybe your EWCM was you trying to ovulated but your body wasn’t quite ready until last weekend. My cycles can be quite long and I find sometimes I have 2/3 EWCM days but don’t ovulate until later. Try temping as that should help you know you’ve ovulated. Do you get any ovulation symptoms such as cramping etc?

Jessiemay2020 · 12/05/2020 16:46

@suki2020 i only use my fitbit app to track periods, ovulation and symptoms. I'd like to get a thermometer. Hmm yes maybe it was that. Yes I do get cramping, only very mild and some twinges on one side, I have carried on cramping on and off since ovulation and I get my hopes up then thinking something might be happening but I remember having the same last month. I had my coil removed in Feb Fter it being in for 3, nearly 4 years so still getting used to what my body is up to! Ahh bless you, you have been trying for a while then. Do you or your partner take any vitamins?

Hi everyone, I'm around 4dpo today I think - AF due 23rd / 24th. First month TTC after an ectopic in February so not expecting much and surprisingly calm at the moment. Sounds like we will all be testing around the same time. Have a 2y DD so will be our 2nd baby / 3rd pregnancy

@Jessiemay2020 I take folic acid, vitamin D and Angus castus. I only take Angus castus until I ovulate though. Do you take any vitamins? Did you get mild cramps with your EWCM @whambam89 the week before your positive OPK’s?

Hi @whambam89 sorry to hear about your ectopic in feb. Did it take you long to fall for your daughter?

Report
Jessiemay2020 · 12/05/2020 17:22

@suki2020 ahh yes I'm taking folic acid. First month taking it though. I did get some mild cramping with the ewcm. Do you get cramping?
Hey @whambam89 sorry to hear about your ectopic! We will be all testing around the same time. It's so exciting but nerve wrecking too.

@jessiemay2020 this month was the first time I’ve noticed cramping. My boobs were slightly sore too this time. They are really sore now though but I know it’s too early to get any symptoms.

@suki2020 mine have been a bit tender too! I keep trying to stop myself symptom spotting especially as you say, it's too early but it's really really hard

@suki2020 it's absolute torture, it really is! I've had some watery cm today but it's probably nothing and again, too early for any signs. I'm driving myself crazy when I promised myself and partner that I wouldn't 😭 he's at work for the night so I literally sit on Google and I really shouldn't lol!

@jessiemay2020 do you mind me asking how old you are? Try and distracted yourself if you can. My friend was trying for 2yrs, she would check every symptom and then she decided to distract herself and first month she did she fell pregnant.

I'm 25, I completely agree with that though... It was so much stressing and overthinking when I was trying in the 2 years for my daughter with my ex. I was when I gave up it happened. I have to say, I am worried though my partner is nearly 36, no previous children (although his ex apperently fell pregnant, but she is a slight nutter and liked to make stuff up but he's adamant she was preg, anyway that turned into a Mc) but I really have a horrible feeling he has a low sperm count. He has had a bad past with drugs and although has not drank or touched anything for years I worry that he has damaged himself. I do keep dropping hints but have also said if no luck within a year we will get him tested. It makes it difficult that I have 2 children from a previous relationship so wouldn't be offered much help through NHS if that was the case.
