Drinking during tww

Just wondering how many of you decide to drink in moderation during the tww? Obviously I would never drink during pregnancy, but I'm trying to relax a bit during the tww and have a little drink on a Saturday night. Is this okay?

@curlyhairdiva don't worry I've been having the odd glass of wine here and there. I'm like you as soon as we find out baby p is there ill be stopping! Thing is cos we are trying to conceive at the minute we don't know what the situation is and I know I sound selfish but I am having the odd wine here and there. And enjoying it too cos all being well... For 9 months I won't be able to drink so I'm enjoying wine while I can WineWineFlowersFlowers

100%! I have a glass of wine or a gin most evenings and did so when TTC my first as well. Unless you are really having trouble TTC in which case I'd say it wouldn't hurt to stop, other than that - enjoy yourself while you can!

I drank as normal when ttc and until I found out I was pregnant. During pregnancy I drank a lot less and weaker drinks than usual, but I wasn't going to not drink for 9 months.
(My mum drank and smoked as normal throughout all 3 of her pregnancies. My Nan the same during her 2. And I know other people who drank as well).

I didn't even drink in moderation.
I was pregnant on my hen do.

The baby isn't attached to you or sharing your blood stream until quite a few weeks in.
If your TTC you'd know a long while before alcohol was a big problem.

Do it - TTC is hard enough without already taking things away Grin I had a couple of gins 3 days before I found out I was pregnant and I think about them now, my last drink and I didn't even know it haha. Enjoy yourself while you can and good luck! X

I am 3dpo, had some wine last night and probably will tonight. However next weekend I won't drink as I will be 10dpo and if I'm pregnant implantation should've happened by then so it does make me feel bad (I'd hope to get a BFP soon after if that were the case, if not my period will come and I'll be drinking all the wine the weekend after!)

But like people say, drink until it's pink. We can't put our lives on hold...

Really happymummy, just because parents and grandparents did it doesnt make it ok.

It doesnt even need saying that 5he scientific research defies what you're saying completely.

Why on earth could you not drink for 9 months for the sake of your child?

I had the odd drink during both my pregnancies. The midwives said the odd glass of wine here and there wouldn’t hurt.

Ds is 2.5 now and Dd 8months.
