Positive ovulation test?

It's our first month trying and I thought I'd use ovulation tests. According to an ovulation calculator, I should have ovulated by now. I've been doing these tests each day and although there was some colour in the on Wednesday (4th strip) it wasn't anywhere near as dark as the control line within the 10 minutes so I assumed negative. Since then they have got fainter and fainter and are now barely visible. Have I missed my chance this month?

I wouldn't say any of these are anywhere near a positive I'm sorry. They need to be the same colour or darker. Keep going and good luck

Btw, you may get this showing a build up then it gets lighter then eventually your body will try again and it'll get darker and your peak

Yeah none of those are positive!

When are you testing? I always tested in the morning and mid afternoon, early evening when i was about.

What cycle day are you on and how long are your cycles usually?

Cycle day 17, testing every day at 7pm ish when we put the kids to bed.

I have no idea how long my cycles normally are as I've only started trying this month and don't track them normally.

I would try and test a bit earlier in the day, around 3-4pm, and then again in the evening. You may be missing your surge.
