Feeling massively deflated. Have done 8 tests (different brands) over the past 3 days, all positive, one steps getting darker. Still not 'dark' but obviously there. I rang my GP surgery at lunch time as I had no idea what I should be doing next, she told me to bring in a sample this afternoon.
Was concerned then as had a banging headache all day and been drinking loads of water so urine quite dilute. Did a sample at home, did my own one step for piece of mind from the exact same sample I took in (positive again) and took sample down. Rang an hour later and she said it's negative. I couldn't get off the phone quick enough Sad
Feel like they'll think I'm an absolute idiot. Even though all my tests have been positive. Shall I just wait til end of week, try and drink less and hope it's there? Impossible for me to take FMU sample in due to work - unless it would keep all day sealed? No idea. Feeling down Sad

Hi OP, I too got a BFP this morning but doctors test was also negative. I'm not too worried as the doctor said their tests need to be done a little later so she asked me to rebook for the end of the month. Just for reference this is my test. Please don't worry too much, FRER's are always going to show an early positive. Xx

Hi @bluebell94 exactly the same thing happened to me when I found out I was pregnant last year. I actually took a test with me and produced it to show them when their test came back as negative. Apparently GP tests are nowhere near as sensitive so they don't pick up hcg if it's very early days. When they saw my positive tests they confirmed it was definitely positive! Good luck.

@Fizzl @onetime10 thank you both you've really reassured me. I just felt a total muppet, got upset to DH initially but feel more rational again now. I have zero symptoms too but think I'm really early anyway, cycles are so irregular so I've no idea but know it was negative a few day before. Thank you again x

I’m surprised your GP even tested you. In my area, GPs really aren’t all that involved in a pregnancies. They certainly won’t test for pregnancy and women have to self refer to midwifery services based upon their own testing.

Congratulations OP.

@Scubalubs87 yeah I thought that too, I'd looked online and saw most only require a self referral but think my area must be behind the times!

This happened to me! They then did a blood test after I showed them a pic of my positive test! Blood test showed that the hormone levels were rising appropriately and that baby will be 4 this year.
