What do people think to the name fox for a boy? Is it too different or do people like it?

Kid will probably get called foxy at school. I'm thinking if the kid ain't tough and resilient may not cope with being bullied or teased.

I think it's lovely. I understand why people comment about bullying... but names have changed so much over the years and more babies are being named uniquely then ever! So pick whatever you love and what feels right!

I’m thinking of it for a middle name actually

Not sure how the husband will take it though...

All I can say is that I had a unique name for the 70s/80s Naomi and I hated it, so much I've changed it to my middle name which is less unique. When your a kid fitting in is important, standing out is good but only if you have the personality for it, if you have a child with a very shy personality a name that stands out is challenging. Parents choose unique names for themselves they dont think about a child growing up with it. I'm all for choosing names that mean something rather than choosing a name cos it's different and nobody elses kid is called it and it's a talking point. Frank Zappa called his kids moon unit and dweezil, the later a son, changed his name and said growing up with a weird name was damaging. So go for unusual just be sensible I think

See I definitely prefer fox to wolf and that's really popular at the moment, we quite like animal names for a boy but it is the idea of the kid being bullied that's off putting but I mean if kids are going to bully they'll do it anyway? Like any name can be made fun of but I can't tell it its TOO out there
