Hi everyone šŸ’•

Currently still have the Mirena coil in which Iā€™m wanting to have taken out in may, have a DD who is 3 and wanting to start TTC from June onwards. Hoping to have a spring/summer baby so I can time it with my toddler going to school.

Has anyone got any storyā€™s with conceiving after the Mirena coil or looking to conceive around may/June šŸ˜˜

Xx

Hi, I'm hoping to start trying end of may but I need to get as healthy as possible first ( have a fair bit of weight to shift ā˜¹ļø) I don't have any experience of the mirena coil though sorry the thought makes me shudder lol x

Hi!!

I could do with losing weight too! I gained 4 and a half last time and I canā€™t do it this time again as Iā€™m already half a stone heavier than what I was in my last pre pregnancy weight!

Ha itā€™s not for everyone but itā€™s the only contraception that I donā€™t forget to take šŸ˜…

Are you on anything at the moment?

No just using condoms at the moment I stopped taking the pill as it made me gain weight šŸ˜¦. I've got heavier with each child I seem to gain after rather than during i blame lack of sleep, does nothing for my will power lol x

Yeah I agree I gained weight and was constantly bleeding.

Haha tell me about it the amount of biscuits Iā€™ve ate in 3 years is ridiculous! How many children have you got? Xx

Sorry just come back. 5k is to pay off debts and get a car and other bits. I want one now especially as i miscarried in nov but dp already has a child to someone else and is still under her thumb as such. When i was preg it was an accident and he took it very badly so he said he wants financial stability before we try again. Which is stupid to me because his idea of financial stability is very different to mine he takes things to extremes. Has anyone started trying to get fitter before ttc?

Hows that going for you teacup? Ive started taking vitamins and eating unhealthily (but thats because i have always been underweight and mw said that was dangerous.) Ive managed to put on a stone and am now in the healthy weight catagory but means i have to eat high fat constantly to maintain it. I want to start yoga or the gym or something as well to be in good condition.

Same! I have read protein is really good for ttc and almonds. i hate them but am going to stock up. Last night i brought up having a baby again when dp was in a good mood. Usually he tells me no or shut up about it and not until we are in our 30s. I said no 6 months and he said maybe so im taking that as a small positive right now!

@Teacup34 he hasnt said no but im currently doing a degree at the moment but dont want a 7 year age gap so is wondering how we will cope but im working bank shifts so that we can at least get maternity allowance from the government.
Well done on your weight loss, i lost 5lb in jan but have put nearly all back on, its my birthday tomorrow so gonna start on monday as a) we are off to butlins in april and i dont want to be a fat lard walking around and b) i gained 4 and half stone in my last pregnancy so dont want to have that again ha!

also so sorry to hear about your miscarriage @GeepipeFlowers sounds really tough on you. My DH is the same hence why i havent pushed it until my DD starts school next year as shes a December baby so would really like to conceive from august onwards really so might not even get my coil out until end of june/beginning of july but then dont want to end up with a september baby and have to wait nearly 5 years to stop paying childcare. and id love to try exercise i just dont have the time.

and breathe. ha

Happy birthday for tomorrow stickytoffeepud! Valentines day birthday sounds quiet lovely! Are you doing anything nice for it?

I didnt know that almonds were high in fat sorry. Im happy you started this thread as i feel like no one is in the same situation as me. Seems like anyone who is ttc has full backing from their partners and are trying asap.

That's ok when I've got to my ideal weight I can have them šŸ™‚. It's hard when your not on the same page my DH isn't 100 percent on board he wants another child but worries about me as I had bad labours twice that's why I want to be as healthy as poss before trying again.

Report
GeePipe · 13/02/2020 22:25

Aw that makes sense he is not quiet there yet re bad labours. With mine its tough as dps ex lives in their home country and wants him back. He is scared if she finds out about me she will never let him see his dc again. He also keeps saying we are not financially stable and we have to wait 3 years. First he said 1 then 2 now 3 years which im not accepting. I said 6 months last night and he said maybe which is progress so i hope i can work on him. (Not in a bad way just in a way that he sees a baby with me wont destroy his life that im not going to sneak out with dc in the middle of the night like she did).

I'm going to jump in too if that's OK! I came off the pill in Dec after having conversations about starting a family. Thought coming off the pill would allow us to just stop using condoms when we finally make the 'grown up' decision Haha we had said we'd start trying in April (don't really want a december baby!!). But since then I've been asked to be bridesmaid twice before November so thinking we may have to wait a little longer which is frustrating!!

That must be tough GeePipe it sounds like it's more to do with the difficult situation u r in rather than him being totally against a baby. Has he had any legal advice re access? he shouldn't have to live in fear of his ex stopping contact with his children.

Hi Buns05, I no what you mean I was hoping to try last summer but then decided I wanted to wait until my youngest was a bit older. I'm 35 in may so I can't really put it off any longer lol

Yeah its mad as he was more keen for a baby than me at the beginning until i actually fell pregnant then he said never after the mc and im working on him. Hi buns05 its frustrating isnt it! Hope your doing ok.
