Probably the only place I feel comfortable enough to share details of when I had sex and what is going on with my vagina 😳
So as the title says I'm 40 and some extra and desperately ttc since 2017, I've had 2 miscarriages in this time 1 being a Mmc and the other at week 12 which was horrendous. If you want to join for some love, support and a chat please do!
Don't let me be Billy no mates 😢

Hi.

I'll join. 40 plus too. TTC #1. Don't want to hear any negativity. I've already had to hide one thread that made me feel really down about things. My friend from university is currently pregnant with her second and she's only 6 days younger than me so I'm holding on to hope.

Why no red meat? I've just had a big steak. Should I not be?

@bitheby was the negativity age related?

Yes. The thread will still be on here but I've hidden it so I won't accidentally come across it.

What does pfb mean @Whynosnowyet?
@bitheby I've spent months googling and have tried eating more veg/fruit tried orange veg/fruit aspirin and now trying reiki. I honestly don't know what to try next

PFB - perfect first born.

Does diet matter that much? It's not going to improve the quality of your eggs.Maybe cut the booze for the last two/three weeks of your cycle

@Whynosnowyet ah ok Thankyou, I'm not a big drinker and rarely go out so not something that's an issue.

Healthier diet =healthier bmi =healthier pregnancy... Less chance of any complications...

I'm 47 and still ovulating as far as i can tell. I had DS at 41 after 2 mcs. We tried for another but were unsuccessful. Negative tactless comments from family didn't help. DS will be an only now and I'm trying to make peace with this.
Good luck x

@BooseysMom miscarriages are so hard aren't they? I'm so lucky in so many ways but the longing for a child is indescribable

Hi everyone!
It's precious first born - it's what others label your baby when you think it's the best baby in the world lol
I'm not far now from 40 and ttc no.2 - DH late 40s - had all bloods and scan, all seems fine with me - but DH won't test, which I'm okay with. I take folic acid and vit D and DH (forgets to) take(s) conception vitamins.
Been a year of trying this month.
Fed up tbh.
I don't even know when I'm due on anymore as I can't take the rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Yes it's the toughest thing. The mcs were both early ones and we gave up after that then we found out about DS when i was 12 weeks gone as i was bleeding but only a bit and i put it down to peri menopause coming..all along it was DS!
The hardest part for me now is the acceptance it won't happen again. Like you say the longing for another is unbelievably strong. It must be nature's way of having one last push before it really is too late.
I hope you are successful

@VenusTiger welcome to the thread. It is an absolute rollercoaster....I tell myself I'm content with what I have and try to pretend I love lay ins and lazy days but I'm not I want that newborn rush of love again, don't we all?! My daughters friends are having babies and I'm so jealous then I hate feeling like that

@BooseysMom I don't think it's too late until the menopause, I've been reading so much on how the average age is rising. I'm not giving up until I take HRT lol

@BooseysMom I'm really sorry it didn't work out for you 😢 my partner was the 1 that wanted to ttc but he's not so onboard now as physically it's me that suffers

Hi, I'm 40 and have been ttc for over 18 months, no pregnancy at all so far.

I've had months where I'm almost certain that we've conceived, I know when I ovulated and we made sure to dtd at the right times etc, then af arrives and we start all over again. I said we would give up if I got to 40 without success but I just don't feel ready to stop trying just yet.

Can I join?

TTC #1 for a year, just turned 40. All tests came back normal for both of us. Regular cycles and ok'ish AMH level. Not even a hint of a second line at any time despite dtd at all the right times, taking my vitamins, healthy lifestyle etc.

Really thought this was my month then, BAM! AF shows up this morning Sad

Told by the dr to look into IVF as soon possible but unfortunately we'll have to self fund due to my age and partner's smoking habit Angry

@Mumof4andahalf.. Thank you Smile. It sounds like you've got a lovely partner who cares about you alot. DH is the same. I know he wanted another badly but knew the risks as you get older. I blamed myself for ages and still do in a way as i was always too scared to try too much! Saying that we do still dtd and i'm not on anything but at my age the risks are huge Sad
I wish you all the very best xx
