TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 34 - huddle up and bring on the BFP's

Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in 2020!

I’m BunnytheBlueWhale, age 35, lost DD one I’m Feb last year at 39+6! She was perfectly healthy otherwise but was wrapped up in her cord and was stillborn.

Had a MC / CP in August 2019.

I’m hoping 2020 is a better year for all of us! And generally trying to be grateful for all that I do have and to focus on that! 😊🙂😊

Hi all

Just marking my place. I’m on cd14. Managed to dtd on Sunday but got a strong not quite positive this morning on an opk. So think Sunday would be too early... need to try tonight if I’m in with a chance. Tried last night but DH couldn’t quite manage it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Best wishes to all x

Ah also, I’m now 40!! Have one son who’s 2, been trying for number 2 for a year. Had a miscarriage at almost 11 weeks in October, baby stopped growing at 8w4days. Currently struggling with performance issues so not getting much chance to ttc...

Hello, I posted on the last thread under a different name after a miscarriage at just over five weeks in mid November. Went on to conceive on the very next cycle, thought it was some sort of miracle but had a bleed dead on eight weeks and at a scan the next day was told there was no heart beat. Medical management failed and I had to have a d & c last Friday a few days after my 40th birthday. Feeling very fragile traumatised and hopeless now. We tried for a year before the first loss and can't believe it will ever happen for me now

I haven’t tracked this month but yesterday was the last day of FW according to Ovia. We didn’t manage to dtd yesterday as DH fell asleep at about 8 pm - maybe he was tired because we have been dtd every day for a week 😂 but I might try tonight too so I feel like I have FW covered.

If I’ve forgotten to tag anyone please tag them although link is on the other thread anyway

Hi @Timeforanamechangeagain1 I'm very sorry for your losses. It is so hard after you had been trying for a while and your last loss sounds especially traumatic, you poor thing. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that I understand that the early days are horrendous. How are you feeling today?

Timeforanamechangeagain1 · 23/01/2020 10:42

Thank you @tortiecat I'm doing ok. Just at work keeping my head down. I really just want the bleeding to stop now. I was told 3-5 days at the hospital but I think that was very optimistic and lots of women say two weeks. It's really only spotting now, but still red and just feels like a constant reminder. I'm terrified I'm going to be one of those women whose periods don't come back after a d&c and I just want to get healthy so we can try again. I feel like time is running out.

Thanks for inviting me over!
Just keeping my foot in the door because my bfp this morning is very early days.

Ditto to @Treaclepie19. I won't post whilst I am, but don't want to not be able to find this support if it all goes wrong and it's still very early days

@BunnytheBlueWhale thanks for tagging me! I'm another member of the early days club, got my 3rd BFP last week but bricking it after two losses between 7 and 8 weeks. This is an amazing, supportive thread that has helped me so much over a period of about 8 months now. I hope everyone here gets their rainbow very soon.

Hi I’m here and still following! Luv this group.
I had preterm labor In Nov 19 and delivered my DS at 5 months. He was too young and didn’t survive. Now he’s our beautiful angel. We’re trying and this is our first official cycle! CD18 6 DPO and symptom spotting like crazy!!!
@Treaclepie19 congrats!!
I am a strong believer in the power of God! I continually pray for everyone here!
Anyone around my cycle time? Which day r u gonna test?

Hi all. @BunnytheBlueWhale thanks for tagging me. I have found this thread so supportive.

I'm 36, we lost our first born, a DD, in November last year at 41 weeks during early labour. No explanation for what happened so far but investigations are still going on.

This month we have started TTC again but suspect we won't be in with much chance as we haven't managed to DTD very much. I am in my FW but don't think I've ovulated yet. I don't mind too much, I'm focusing on getting fit and healthy but of course if does happen, I'll be over the moon. Fingers crossed we all end up on the graduates thread soon. X

Lilimum8

38. Ttc since January 18. 8 mc's possibly number 9 now. Had a vf bfp yesterday, no darker hpt today, lots of cramps and now spotting pink too, yet another cp. I'll test again with fmu if bleeding doesn't pick up any.
Not sure if we will continue after this one. As yet DH doesn't know about this cp I'm not sure if I should bother to tell him.
I'm totally fed up. My boobs hurt, I feel like crap and I so tired. And now this on top.

Sorry to start the new thread so down.

Hope every one else is OK x

Joining in from the other thread too 👋🏻

Had a miscarriage just before Christmas, tried again straight away with no success 😕 On CD9 now and back on the Clear Blues! I’m 37, DP is 27 (go me 😜) and we’re trying for our first baby.

Sending love and all that baby dust to everyone for this month! ❤️

Joining from the last thread, I'm mostly a lurker as I find this thread too fast paced to keep up with all the details.

@BunnytheBlueWhale I think you might be right. Top test was yesterday afternoon, 2nd test this morning and 3rd just now. But why the cramps and spotting if the line is getting stronger confused 😕

@Mumlili8 that definitely looks far stronger. The cramping and spotting could be implantation? I had a lot of cramping either side of my BFP. Wishing you lots of luck, when will you test again?

@Avocuddles Not until Sunday then I'll be officially late. Can I join your new early pregnancy thread. I might not be there long but I can hope

Well, another failed attempt at dtd tonight. Positive opk this morning so guess officially no hope at all this month. Feeling so so rubbish about it all.

Avocuddles · 23/01/2020 22:32

@Mumlili8 yes of course! We're all in the super nervous club so feel right at home....
Waiting until Sunday sounds like a good idea. I've found if you wait at least 48 hrs between tests you get a far clearer idea of whether progression is happening. Testing early is both a blessing and a curse, the first few days are the slowest of all.....
