You know when you know you're not pregnant but your body is messing with your head because you're TTC, bloody pisstake innit?!

I know I'm not up the duff because I did a test this morning at 12ish dpo and it was a stark white definitely no squinters BFN.

But, my tits feel sore, I feel a bit sickly, I'm off certain foods, I'm having vivid dreams, I need 27 wee's an hour, I'm crampy and weepy.

All of these things happen most months for me a week before Satan's monthly floodgates open, but now because I'm actively TTC, I'm NOTICING, and I'm getting on my own nerves. Because I've still got that "maybe I AM pregnant!" thing going on mentally.

And I remembered that that's what I found most frustrating (one if the things anyway!) about TTC last time, the mental gymnastics, and the fucking noticing! Complete pisstake grin

Ha i know the feeling, my pms symptoms are EXACTLY THE SAME AS PREGNANT ONES! its annoying really 😂 i log every symptom on my app and theres a definite pattern so this month i plan to ignore each and every one until af is late!

Bloody joke innit!? I've decided I'm not buying any tests just to have in the house and I'm definitely not testing till I'm late-late

Other pisstake competing for top spot at pisstaking is that I have cycles that are a bazillionty days long. Aright, I'm being dramatic, but I'm on day 40 and still not due on for another four or five days

I'm sending DH to the shop for wine and I'm ordering misery Chinese, so then the MSG gas can feel like baby kicks and I can continue to delude myself grin

I am very regular with my cycle. So I've decided I'm not testing either unless AF doesn't come.
But I've found the same! Drives you nuts. I can't believe how much attention I just clearly didn't pay to myself before. shock

Oh God I don't know whether to laugh or cry! You not only just described my life, but you in an utterly genius way that only a woman can, created a metaphor for all things TTC

CatEnabler Wed 22-Jan-20 20:16:57

Totally agree grinsanta

Love this thread name and love the rant- 100% spot on.
Cycle 3 I tried to wait until i was late For this very reason (usually really regular) so bloody body decides to make me late ffs

NameChange30 Wed 22-Jan-20 20:57:20

Ha ha ha I like your ranting style and I have definitely felt much the same.

I took a break from TTC because it was driving me demented and then got pregnant during the "break" (cliche I know), I wasn't expecting it so I didn't have the two weeks of torture which was very refreshing. However I don't know how helpful that is, sorry!

I do recommend Agnus Castus because it can help to regulate cycles and reduce PMT, with the added bonus of increasing fertility for some women apparently.

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere Wed 22-Jan-20 21:53:28

Off to Amazon prime I go for Agnus castus, which, ironically, I actually have open on a tab already grin

Bodies are arseholes, I have to joke or I'd be mental, we've been not trying/not preventing for technically, ooh, 12ish months and I've been very calm and not arsed about it and now we're TRYING I've gone a bit 🤪 😂 it's been bulk buying okps and googling which prego tests are the most sensitive and inspecting fanny mucus, mucus, from my fanny for fucks sake, to see if it's tacky or stringy. If I start rummaging round in there for my cervix then somebody please glue a pair of mittens on me.

Back to being lessaiz faire I think, it's less stressful. Raises wine glass to fellow TRYERS! wine

🤣

FWIW I never used opks or did temping as I knew it would make me more crazy.

Just used a period tracking app and had sex every 2-3 days during what I guesstimated was my fertile window.

Just that is crazy making though, the two weeks of torture is aptly named.

Best of luck!

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere Wed 22-Jan-20 22:08:25

I never temped when I was TTC before my last pregnancy, and I don't think I will this time, but not just because I thought you had to take the temperature in your vagina, apparently it's your mouth you pop the thermometer in, who knew?! grin🤦

Oh god it's awful isn't it! I've only done it for one month but drove myself nuts insisting I must be pregnant...! I swear there was symptoms I don't normally get but I possibly just don't normally notice. I didn't know Angus castus was ok when ttc @NameChange30 I've stopped taking it now which actually might be to blame for the return of the achy boobs. hmm

Sparkle2020 Wed 22-Jan-20 23:15:34

It’s horrible isn’t it! I wish we could switch our thoughts off, ttc makes people crazy obsessive. Feel stupid to admit this but I got one squinter this morning and have since done 12 bloody tests today. 12!! I’m going mad.

mommybear1 Thu 23-Jan-20 02:10:43

Beautifully put OP - my period is due on Saturday we're now 24 months into our #2 ttc and every month I'm convinced I'm pregnant with the whole sore boobs etc malarkey 🙄 tiresome

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere Sat 25-Jan-20 11:44:10

Anybody had any luck today? I'm weirdly pleased to be on CD1, cut two days off my cycle length which I'll begrudgingly take 😁

I'm ordering pre-seed for this month and researching Agnus castus.

@ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere

I love this thread! Basically sums everything about ttc up nicely!

On 3rd cycle of ttc, 14dpo, have about a billion stark white, not so much as a trace of a line, bfns so far, now just want this cycle to end already.
