Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

Hi @Elmlee

Ill join you cause I'm pretty sure this month is a no go!

Im 33, so is oh. We have 4 between us, 2 boys and 2 girls but decided we'd like one more together.

Had mirena coil removed in november and everything had been a bit up in the air since, using an app to track my periods but at the mo i have no idea how accurate it is. Apparently im due af in 5 days. Will have to wait and see 😂

@Hatepickinganame Hello lovely!

Awww how lovely you are trying again :-) how old are your children?

Have you had a withdrawal bleed since having your coil removed?

I was so shocked not to have anything in December at all!! I was expecting AF Xmas eve and thankfully she didn't arrive lol.

Quite relieved she's arrived... but the Period pains are horrible 😖🤦🏻‍♀️

I think I'll be looking at starting in February realistically. Came off the pill mid December but still waiting for a withdrawal bleed due any day now. It's my honeymoon in mid-late February so perfect time for babymaking!

@Elmlee yes, i had it removed on 28th November, had a 4 day light bleed that started the day after. Then 16th dec i had another 4-5 day light bleed that the drs said was my period returning so ive used that as a starting point to track. Using Flo to track everything at the mo but i have no idea how accurate it is. I also have pcos so that might impact it all too. My kids are 14, 8 and 5. His little one is 3. And i know what you mean about period pains, mine were so severe in dec i ended up in a&e for a scan to check my pcos!

Hi! I'm going to be starting on the Feb bus as we have to wait for the next cycle to start trying (enhanced mat leave requirements at a new job!) AF is due Thursday or Friday, then will be waiting for fertile week to give this TTC a proper go. We started NTNP for a few months last year but when I got offered the new job we had to put it on hold.

Good luck to everyone, fingers crossed for some Feb BFPs!

Hi ladies!

I'm joining the bandwagon! AF started yesterday so I'm a bit of an inbetween-er as next one is scheduled for Feb 1st..

I'm 28 TTC baby #1 currently starting cycle #3 after deciding to take out my Mirena this fall. DH and I have been together for 7 years this spring and married for four this March. Had a bit of a bump in our baby road as he got had a cancerous tumor in 2018, the summer was radiation everyday and then a surgery in the fall to remove it. Because of where it was (his inner thigh) there may have been some damage to his baby making bits... as of right now we don't know if we can conceive naturally but I am hopeful and want to give it a go before we explore other options.

I happy I stumbled across mumsnet, it's nice having other women to talk to :)

So I'm at CD2 today and ready for round three of DTD!

@Hatepickinganame I'm in the same boat coming off the coil, it's been so interesting re-learning my body again.. I've had one since I was 21 and barely remembered what was "normal" for me.. let's just say now, AF number three has jogged my memory haha I feel really bad for teenage me... this must have been brutal... How are you adjusting to it?

@lucymagoo congrats! You must be looking forward to that! I hope it's somewhere warm :)

@Elmlee thanks for starting this thread, like I said earlier it's really nice to have other people to talk to :) Is Ovia an app? Please let me know if you recommend, currently using fertility friend but I feel like it's really only for people who track BBT.

Hi my boyfriend and I are both 32 and trying for our first child.
I came off cerazette on the 19th December after being on the pill quite a long time with no periods.
I’ve experienced stomach pains, feeling very emotional and most recently very sore nipples since coming off the pill.
Very much looking forward to getting my period and knowing where I’m at.

@Hatepickinganame wow A&E don't fancy that. Mines been so sore today though.. got water bottle has been my best friend 🥰🥰

Sending lots of baby dust to all... anybody heard of any kids wife's tales or diets to improve fertility?

@1987Nic welcome lovely. I felt exactly the same coming off mine. I was fighting sickness and feeling everything your feeling. I even took pregnancy tests as I was convinced I was possibly pregnant. All negative sadly.

My advice would be stay positive and busy and ill will come... I cam off around 20th November had a withdrawal 24-29th nov... nothing at all December then came on today xxxx

It’s crazy how our bodies act like they are already pregnant. I’m in no rush to fall pregnant but I do feel rushed to get my periods back ha. Bet you were so happy for your periods to return today. I’ve just been to visit my little nephew (born this November) so I’ve had my fix of baby cuddles. Smile

@Elmlee thanks for the rec! I will download and check it out!

And as for the diet question I have read pineapples and brazil nuts post ovulation! Pineapple has something that prevents inflammation (with that the potentially attack of a blastocyst im guessing) and brazil nuts have selenium, which apparently increase the chances of "sticking" during implantation and help prevent miscarriages :)

I'm not sure how much research has been done, but I am totally willing to eat those from ovulation day onward in the first week of the TWW for those benefits! I will be trying this cycle for sure

@gingerglitter4ever that's amazing I'll be buying some of those next time I shop!!

@1987Nic it's so so bizarre.. the whole process has been such a learning curve! In pain though and been so long since a proper period 🤪🤦🏻‍♀️

@Elmlee wow that is a long time! Mine is one year by due date (so had to wait 3 months after starting plus my 2 month notice period so it's only put us back 5 months)

Hi ladies

Hope its okay to join.. i am 25, stopped cerazzete end of october, had what i think was a chemical 3 weeks ago, and had no AF since my tests turned negative 🤔 so all a bit confused.. i had EWCM last weekend so think i ovulated... so basically waiting on AF or a BFP! Hope that wasnt too confusing

Hi I would also like to join. I've only just stopped the pill a couple of days ago so feel I will hopefully have had some sort of a period by February so we can TTC. Me and my husband will be trying for our first baby. I'm 26 and my husband is 27.

@Elmlee no it wasnt fun, felt a bit silly when they eventually said they couldnt find a cause and it was probably just a bad af after having coil out! But i know better now so wont panic this time around.

@gingerglitter4ever its weird isnt it! I havent had a proper period or pms in years so trying to figure out what is a pms symptom and what could be a pg symptom is fun! Ive discovered nausea seems to be a pms thing 😷

Hi to everyone else and baby dust for all

@Diamond94 not at all confusing, sorry you had a chemical. Fingers crossed something happens for you soon so you know either way!

Is anyone else exhausted? I cant keep my eyes open today. Even had a nap in my car while i waited to pick my youngest two up from school!

@Diamond94 also due friday according to my app, still a little unsure exactly as only had coil removed in november but im pretty sure i ovulated around the time my app said so we'll see. Im waiting on some frers to arrive so just a waiting game at the moment. Sorry about the bfn, hopefully it was just too early 😊

CD1 today for me. 27 day cycles ish usually, so I'll be really early Feb.

I'm 37 this month. My DH is 46 in March. First baby for us. Got married in October. Not been actively trying but not worrying either. First time actually trying last month. Came off cerazette in June 2018 (used condoms) in preparation to get my body normal. I had various issues on it. My cycle is regular but I spot (more like bleeding sometimes) in my luteal phase. Obviously a bit worried about this. Also no idea about DHs ability to produce anything as none of us have children already. I find this does make me anxious. But we shall see!
I'm going to order some OPK's to use this month. I do usually feel ovulation though.
