Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

@ceebee21 Hi again

Cycle 5 for me after finishing BC in June took a while for my cycles to regulate.

Hoping this is our month 🤞

Made the decision that I'm going to chill this month 😁 easier said that done though 🙈

Started spotting yesterday but no proper AF yet. Wish she'd get a move on so I could be on CD 1

Xx

AF started yesterday
So sorry to hear about miscarriage
Hope this is the month for you @ceebee21

@Nic555 fingers crossed!

TTC cycle 1 for me...
Wanted to wait for weight loss but gave up and can wait no longer !

@MrsTwentySeven I was the same, well was going to do lots of things before trying, but in the end wondered why am I waiting!!

The MMC has definitely made me thankful that we decided to try when we did, rather than wait for another 6 months / year... you just never know how long it is going to take.

I know I won't relax this month... although it does make it easier having AF and actually having a date/cycle.

I had my implant removed 9th July and was waiting for AF but fell PG straight away... then obv the MMC and ERPC, and have been waiting for AF since that!

Hi all 👋🏻

Af started for me today 😞 TTC is so hard!

TTC #1
Age 28
Cycle 10 in total
Cycle 5 after mc
Af due 6 Dec

Currently feeling like my body hates me.

Although I am getting positive opks and starting af 14dpo so that all sounds ok I guess 🤞🏼

For the past couple of cycles we have been doing SMEP.

I agree @ceebee21 , it’s better in most cases I’m sure to start trying earlier and not wait. I wish I had listened to my own advice sometimes! Got everything crossed for you that this month will be the one :)

@waitingformyturn welcome! Sorry to hear you’ve had such a difficult time :( It’s a waiting game isn’t it, don’t give up hope! Oooh I’ve heard SMEP mentioned a lot on these forums! This month may be the month for you!!

It’s my first cycle TTC #1 and I know there is such a slim chance of it happening straightaway that I’m thinking of booking a long haul flight in January haha...then my mind tells me WHAT IF....Confused

Oh and I’m 27 btw :) Currently waiting for AF to leave me alone ...CD 4 ! My OPKs once I used them for trial had a flashing smiley but I never got a static one ? Do you ladies think it is because I didn’t check in the evenings ....or is it that I’m not ovulating 😶

Report
ceebee21 · 04/11/2019 10:25

I am not sure, are you using internet cheapies as well?

I have had a static on both months I have used them, first was after around 4 days of flashing, but last month was after 10 days!!!!

I used cheapies as well and that also went positive at the same time... so could be worth using those a couple of times a day. I have read that for OPK it is best to check in the afternoon/early evening, so maybe try that this time?

@MrsTwentySeven thank you for your support 💗 FC this month for you might be first time lucky! It only takes one! I use IC opks so they are just dip sticks rather than the flashing smileys. I've heard lots of people say they seem to get endless flashing smiley days.

Hope everyone is doing OK. Sorry to those who have had miscarriages and are just generally struggling with all this TTC business.

I'm TTC number 1 as well. I have come to the conclusion today that I just waste so much time Googling. I have spent since Friday panicking that my periods are too light there must be something wrong with my lining. For AF to arrive in full force today. I'm trying to be more positive. Keep saying to myself no point spending the next four weeks depressed and panicking when I could get my BFP in December and have just wasted a month worrying for no reason. It's easier said that done but once we have our babies in our arms this will all be like a distant memory. We will get their eventually 🙏

Saying that I do want to try something different this month but no idea what. Is anyone planning on doing anything differently?

@Nic555 how long have you been trying?

This cycle we are going to try SMEP, it’s intense but we want to cover all bases & use CB digital OPKs - they are expensive but I never get a positive or even close to positive with the IC ones.

We are also going to try DTD in the mornings as sometimes we are so tired at night it’s such a chore & DP can’t perform so setting the alarm half an hour earlier and having some morning time should make it nicer 😁

waitingformyturn · 04/11/2019 17:59

@Nic555 don't know about you but I always feel so much better once af arrives as at least then we can get back on with it. I have been the same regarding af as it's been so light and watery since mc it's had me thinking whether all is ok?! Totally different in every way to how my af used to be. We aren't planning on everything different just sticking to what we have been.

@whatsthecraic91 SMEP wasn't all that bad for us last month. Started on CD10 and then ov happened on CD18 so all in all not that many DTD sessions. The month before though I Ov'd late and that was a bit more of a drag hence delaying the start date until CD10

Nic555 · 04/11/2019 18:39

@MrsTwentySeven I normally get them in the morning. However my last cycle got a positive on an Internet cheapy in the afternoon and by time my new CB arrived that night it was just flashing again so I'd use cheap ones nearer the time in the late afternoon alongside the CB in the mornings and just confirm ovulation with the CB if you get a positive cheapy in the afternoon. Good luck 🤞

@waitingformyturn I wouldn't worry about it at all. I spent hours Googling, reading old threads etc and every single one said it wasn't a problem at all. FC for you

@whatsthecraic91 this is cycle 5. I'm kind of discounting the first two cycles as I'd just come off BC and both cycles where really long. My body just didn't feel like it was back to normal yet. I know how you feel with it feeling like a chore. I'm gonna attempt SMEP as well. Failed miserably last month. My concern is that when we do the every other day I'll probably have the positive OPK morning after DTD so end up with 4 days in a row. We tend to try and DTD straight after work by the time it's bedtime i'm just too tired and can't be bothered. I tend to ovulate on a Monday though so it's quite handy having the weekend before. I don't tend to DTD the Tuesday though so think may try that. So much to think about isn't there 🙈xx

Hi everyone, mind if I join?

I'll start with a bit of my background. Ttc for 2 years, underwent several fertility tests and surgery. Conceived 2 years after starting which ended in mc at 6.5 weeks. Conceived again 4 months later and had my ds which is now 20 months. Conceived again in September whilst on the pill but ended in mc at 5.5 weeks. I wasnt actively ttc number 2 but since the mc in September I think I want to start trying again 😊. I am absolutely terrified but also excited. Just finished my first cycle since the mc today so eager to start the build up to fertile week!

@Nic555 wow I wish we could do it straight after work but we are always starving and always eat as soon as DP gets home, I’m home at 5 and DP is home at 6 and I have dinner ready for him 😂 if I greeted him with sex instead he would be like WTF where’s my dinner 😂😂

I nearly always ovulate on a Monday too!! It’s so handy 🤣

Hi ladies, AF arrived for me today too unfortunately, so here I am! Cycle 2, TTC #1, aged 28.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriages @ceebee21 and @waitingformyturn, hoping this is your month (and everyones of course!).

I'm planning to use CB opk again this month - gave me a few flashy days and a peak last month, only have 3 sticks left but tempted to buy a new kit even though they are so expensive! Had never heard of SMEP, just googled that - interesting reading, might give that a go too Smile

Hope it’s ok to join even though I might be waiting a bit longer for Af/bfp than others.

I’m trying to be positive this month and have ordered some internet cheapy OPKs.
Just need to stay chill. Would love to get the BFP just before Christmas.

Best wishes to you all.

Welcome to everyone else that has joined us!

@ceebee21 @MrsTwentySeven I think I'm going to start cycle day 12 this month. Last month I made the mistake of doing the first test at night and not waiting four hours. The next morning it was flashing and I just kept worrying it was false because the night before I hadn't waited long enough 🙊

I have managed one month to time it perfectly and only need to use 3 sticks which saved a fortune. I tested the day when i noticed increased CM.

I'm looking forward to getting to the fertile window now. The gloom of AF arriving is finally leaving x

I have used the same CB reader for 3 cycles and just bought the test sticks of eBay, they are out of date but still work and are considerably cheaper! I definitely wouldn’t be buying a whole new kit every month!
