Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

Need some help and advice. I missed my period for the month of September. It is now October 2nd and my period still haven't came. I didn't have any pregnancy tests so I took a ovulation test as a pregnancy test which came out positive twice. Every since my period been late I haven't had any symptoms of pregnancy at all. is that normal?? Im scared to take a pregnancy test because I don't want to get my hopes up if its not positive. Have anyone else experienced something like this before??

I can’t advise Dezzy as I haven’t experience that but I would do a test if I were you otherwise you’ll just cause yourself anxiety

Hi, it's our first time TTC too! We are currently on our first month of trying! Completely new to this too! According to an app, my ovulation is a little all over the place and because I haven't used ovulation strips means I'm not sure when I ovulated! So fingers crossed we got it right!! Would be nice to share this experience with someone too!

Same here TTC (trying to conceive) our first. I'm 36 had a miscarriage this summer so fingers crossed for this month. In the tww (two week wait). Have some symptoms but think it could be wishful thinking. Going on holidays next week and due af so not sure whether to test before I go. Don't want a negative result to put a downer on it as had my miscarriage on our last holiday.

@Niffler1988 you sound just like me ! Because I had my coil out and haven’t had a period in years before this other than slight spotting , I had no idea where I was ! So I feel very lucky (funnily) to have had AF so I know where I am but not sure whether ovulation will be on the day the app says ! I’m so excited but just want to click my fingers and have a positive !
Definitely would love to share this with you !
@hopefulhel I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I really hope you get your positive ! I would wait until after your holiday, but that’s just me x

@Itsemily I know I have a work event on Saturday and then am due to go on holidays. I usually would have a drink at these events and holidays that was my thinking on testing before I go. I might do a frer the day before we fly out as af due on the 10th

@Itsemily this is our second official month of TTC! I stopped birth control at the end of July so I have a feeling my hormones are all over the place haha nice to meet you ladies!

@Itsemily it's so frustrating to not know where I am!! I haven't been in contraception for 2 years, but it's only started being all over the place! I've attached a pic so you can see what I mean!

@hopefulhel I'm sorry to hear of your miscarriage! I'm 31 and DH is 26, so hoping because he's younger it's a good thing! I'm trying my hardest not to symptom spot too! I was get FR test before you go on holiday!

I’m just like do we just DTD every other day now my AF has ended and just hope for the best or what ?! I hate it ! I’m so like , high on life and just want to be successful with it and be a momma! My husbands like ‘don’t stress or overthink it we haven’t even started after your cycle yet ‘ and it’s so true but as a woman it’s so hard right ? !

@Itsemily @Niffler1988 I think it must be a chapter in their "how to husband" guide book because mine is the same 😂 I remember saying to him I wouldn't overthink it or stress but.. I'm doing both!

@Niffler1988 I think you’re right !
I did a test this morning and got a flashing smiley face !! So I’m hoping my Hubby will be up to DTD the next few days until I ovulate ! He’s a nurse and does long hours but has assured me he doesn’t think I see him as a baby making machine which was my worry lol

Hey ladies, would you mind if I joined in too? I have just turned 30 and trying for our first baby. Stopped the combined pill in September, and have got AF which started yesterday, so hoping after that to start trying in October. Trying not to stress too much though, but I can't help it!! Good luck to you all xxx

Hi all,

Sorry to jump in but I think this might be the place for me. Me and DH are trying for baby #1. I am now on my second cycle of trying. I think my DH thinks I've become obsessed and I feel like for the first time in the relationship I am the one chasing him all the time! I'm 10DPO and sadly got a BPN yesterday so I suppose I'll try again next month.

Good luck ladies, if anyone has any advice or needs support let me know.

Hi everyone, Would I be able to join too? I’m in a couple of groups but it would be nice to have people in the same boat as me! TTC first baby, got flashy smiley face on Thursday and Friday and this morning so expecting to ovulate tomorrow or Monday! AF due on 21st October so hoping for a positive instead!!!

@rosabuddy @LH1987 @lou1904 yes please join us ! Thank you for checking in.
It’s refreshing (without sounding awful) that we are all in the same boat and understand each other . I’m definitely struggling with almost feeling like I’m chasing my husband for sex because I’m not but it’s also so important! I’m crossing everything for all of you ! Is it best to DTD as much as you can before ovulation day ? Because this is the first time I’ve got a smiley face as I’ve never tracked before now and not 100% when I ovulate but so far the app seems to be accurate and has matched up with the CB test . I don’t want to miss our chance but Hubby is working today til 9pm and I’ll going out and won’t be back til late and he’s working tomorrow and Monday, and the ap says I’m due to ovulate next week so I’m like when do we do it ? I don’t want to be needy but he has assured me I’m not being . It’s weird being the one to chase it !

@itsemily I think it’s recommmeded that you DTD every other day once you get a flashy smiley face as it’s the run up to ovulation and then once you ovulate (static smiley face) you’ve got 12-24hrs to DTD (I think)

Thanks @Itsemily

I am regretting, the past ten years I've been with DH when I was really worried about getting pregnant. If Id know how much was involved I might not have put so much effort into birth control! Grin

@Itsemily I think they feel the pressure of living up to expectations, but I just keep reminding him if he wants a baby then it won't magically arrive in my uterus, haha!!

Welcome ladies, the more the merrier!!

@Rosabuddy thank you for the advice, I’ll give that a go! So today’s my first flashy face, onwards and upwards ! @LH1987 yep me too! We were going to try when I was 22 but then decided it was a bit too early for us as we hadn’t fully moved house and he was finishing his nursing and it would’ve been too stressful , then I started having seizures and was going to be put into a med that the hospital classed as unsafe for child baring age etc and it delayed things a little and now here we are ! All my life I never knew how much genuinely went into getting pregnant . I had 6 friends in school who got pregnant ‘accidentally’ ?!

@Niffler1988 funny thing is my husband delivers babies at work (in obstetrics) and I’m like you should know how much timing is restricted here !

Hi hope I can join. I'm also in my first month of ttc our first. I'm 31. Not started tracking ovulation yet as We just wanted to start with a more relaxed approach. However according to Flo I ovulated yesterday so I guess I'm in the 2 week wait now!
