Hey everyonesmile

Please join me on my journey of TTC baby no 1 (5 months of TTC). It can be a rollercoaster of emotions and I think a positive thread of news, updates and tips is needed!

Feel free to introduce yourselves and explain where you're all at in your journeys. smile

I'm 2DPO today, on Cycle 4 of ttc. I'm 38 and DP is a young buck at 29!

We're getting married in January so I'm not going to be too gutted if we don't conceive this month. We only managed to DTD once, on ovulation day.

I've symptom spotted like a madwoman the past three months. Going to try and be a bit less manic this month.

MisssC3025 Tue 17-Sep-19 17:41:08

Hiya and welcome @Bezalelle!

Firstly congratulations on your to be wedding how exciting smile

I'm very similar to you I'm around 2/3dpo. My ovulation app is struggling to work out on which day I ovulated, but on the days I had pains in one side and obvious ovulation CM we DTD!

Imagine on the one day you DTD you've managed to conceive!! That be amazing. Is this first baby?

I started symptom spotting like mad and got addicted (as was all new to me) I'm now trying to relax ish haha

Bezalelle Tue 17-Sep-19 17:45:28

Thank you!! Wedding planning is (kind of) keeping my mind off symptom spotting. blushgrin

TTC first baby, yes. I never planned on having any until I met DP two years ago. He would make such an amazing dad.

I've used OPKs for the past two cycles, and I "felt" myself ovulate this month, on Sunday morning. DTD on Sunday early afternoon. DP is living down south at the moment so we're having to time my visits to catch the fertile window.

MisssC3025 Tue 17-Sep-19 17:53:45

Aw that's too sweet!

I bet timing it at the moment is quite tiring? My DP lived in London so we would time it too and we were just so exhausted (times he got back and all the journeying back and forth) I can imagine it's exhausting?

That's why I'm a little bummed each month when I get AF, because we're so much more relaxed now we're living together! But I guess it takes time 🤞🏼

Have you tried taking anything TTC or changed routines? I know I have to eat healthily but my goodness is it hard 😖 the more I think to eat healthily the more I eat crap 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Rinoa Tue 17-Sep-19 18:02:49

Hello all, ttc 1st baby, first round of Clomid & Inofolic. 1DPO or at least that's what the test guesses ! Wow never thought I'd be so happy to see a smiley on an Ovulation test!

I lost 40lbs and counting ever since we decided to give it a try. I never really wanted kids but I have made a full 360 and am 💯 about giving it my all.

croissantmonster Tue 17-Sep-19 18:11:37

Hi! I'm TTC, 2nd month so still early days but currently 9dpo and have felt some symptoms that could easily be AF or early pregnancy...5 more days and I'll know for sure blush
Nice to meet everyone!

Hey1256 Tue 17-Sep-19 18:47:09

Hi I'm TTC and it's driving me nuts really stressing me out.

I just want to get on with my life and you can't when TTC I never thought it would be this way.

Only second cycle so early days

MisssC3025 Tue 17-Sep-19 18:50:35

@Rinoa welcome!

This is all very exciting and a change of heart about having a baby and your positivity is great ! Well done on dropping the lbs! I need this motivation!

How long have you been trying to conceive? I've heard/seen clomid mentioned on many threads. How did you find out about it? Be interesting to see how you get on with it.

I completely empathise with you about smiley on ovulation tests! I've never had one! (Used them in first two months and gave up and just used cycle app) It's frustrating.. but I heard it's normal for some people to ovulate but it doesn't show on kits 🤞🏼 so trying to stay positive. Which opks are you using?

@croissantmonster hello and welcome!
I hope you receive the best news in the next few days 🤞🏼🤞🏼 but not to panic as yes you're very early on.

I remember feeling so down on 1st and 2nd month of TTC because I wasn't educated on it at all, but since I have been reading and watching so much stuff I tell myself each month that's it's fine and to stay positive! I think when it hits a year then that's when I should start to worry and get myself and my DP checked! A long way to go yet!

MisssC3025 Tue 17-Sep-19 18:53:40

I can empathise with you! We're here to support!! Remember (I Know it's easier said than done) to stay calm and positive a relaxed body and mind I'm sure helps with TTC. I don't take my own advice but I hope writing this to others helps me out too! smile

Lemonysherbet Tue 17-Sep-19 18:55:32

Hey all,

Here to join the gang 😁

31, TTC number 1. 3rd cycle of trying (march, then a break as went to a Zika country and had to wait 3 months) then August, had a bfp, and then lost it a week later sadly, so this is the 3rd month. @bezalelle we only DTD once last month and got a bfp so it really is all it takes 😘

I'm 9dpo and due Sunday, also going on holiday Sunday. Wasnt planning on testing but obviously I've been symptom spotting like a loon and I've got lots of odd things going on, but not the same as last month so not sure what to think. I have no tests in the house on purpose!

imnewtothis Tue 17-Sep-19 18:56:16

Hi me and DP are ttc our first, cycle 4 after a chemical but keeping everything positive, well trying to!

DaiJai1066 Tue 17-Sep-19 19:00:36

Hi, We are also (I think) ttc. I had an ectopic in July which resulted in my Fallopian tube being removed so now my cycles are all messy. I’m trying not to look at ovulation days but just try and keep it fun. It’s so hard though! I know we will have done our best this month! I wish you all lots of luck and any tips for working out when I’m ovulating will very helpful 😊

Chanel05 Tue 17-Sep-19 19:11:12

Hello 👋
I've been ttc for 13 months and I had a mmc in May. I got a positive opk this morning and I usually ovulate the day of my +opk so I dtd this morning and intend to do it again tonight before sleep 😴😂.

Chanel05 Tue 17-Sep-19 19:12:05

Sad typo - I've actually been ttc for 15 months.

Rinoa Tue 17-Sep-19 19:56:18

@MisssC3025 these are the ones I use constantly, also got the clear blue digitals as confirmation lol

We've been ttc 22 months. I have mild pcos (think it was more severe when I was over 30BMI) so weight loss really helped. I didn't even exercise except for the odd yoga, just did low carb and it was easier than I thought. It's the initial cravings that made it hard but I decided to make it a lifestyle and overall feel much better for it. I'm convinced being so heavy made my hormones super imbalanced and really ruined my mood.

Yes I'm on the Clomid thread on here too, as u can see I need all the support I can get haha. This testing and waiting really stresses me out !

StephyRose Tue 17-Sep-19 21:07:54

@HEY1256 I totally sympathise. This our first cycle of TTC and it has really consumed me. I've been a lot calmer today and am trying to be overall. I dont know why but I got really overwhelmed by the pressure to fall fast (one cycle #1!) and its ridiculous. It is supposed to be a happy time so thanks original poster because a positive thread is definitely needed. smile

Hi everyone, I'm 29. TTC baby #1, on Cycle #1 and 7DPO. AF is due on the 25th so I have just over a week to go. I bought a pack of two First Response Early tests today but I dont think I will use them early. If I am pregnant (which I dont think I am, zero symptoms whatsoever other than abnormally hormonal - putting it down to TTC stress though! Haha) that is amazing. Especially when we only DTD once as DP was tired on the actual day of Ovulation ... cue eyeroll.

But if not there is always next time... it will happen when it happens.

She says - on the first cycle! If we get to a year I might be singing a very different tune. :p

Happy trying everyone. Wishing baby dust to all!!

croissantmonster Tue 17-Sep-19 21:35:28

Thanks for the warm welcome @MisssC3025
Trying to not get too obsessed too soon, just so very excited!!

We're due on the same day smile I've also been symptom spotting even though I shouldn't...fingers crossed!!

Tbug Wed 18-Sep-19 10:22:26

Hi smile

I'm 23 and on 6 month of TTC.

Using the Femometer App along with their ovulation sticks- so helpful and accurate!!

Also taking pregnacare smile

I thought it was going to be easy to get pregnant sad feeling a bit rubbish!

Hey1256 Wed 18-Sep-19 10:47:24

I just purchased the clear blue advanced monitor I've heard so many good reviews online about it people seems to fall pregnant quite quickly after using so I'll let you know how that turns out! It arrives Friday which is a week before my next ovulation

Aw20hcs Wed 18-Sep-19 11:32:18

Hey ladies, 9th cycle of ttc baby #2 here smile. Af due around the 21st, so cue me symptom spotting like crazy. Bfn this morning as I had a cheapy test spare and couldn't help myself haha. Baby #1 took 2.5 years of ttc, conceived after 6months of metformin for Pcos. May go back and speak to GP about starting again soon if it doesn't happen naturally this time xxx

croissantmonster Wed 18-Sep-19 13:10:43

Eep I've got some pink CM 😊 10dpo today. I do sometimes get some spotting before AF (due 22nd) but it's usually darker, maybe brown. This is very light pink...
Only 4 days until Sunday at least 😆

Jurassiclover Wed 18-Sep-19 13:34:55

This is 1st cycle TTC number 1 - last cycle we didn't actively try as such, rather just didn't prevent.

Trying to still be relaxed atm so just trying to DTD every other day at the moment, don't wanna jump into OPK's yet!

Currently on CD11 so hoping all goes well!

Sending baby dust to you all!

Jurassiclover Wed 18-Sep-19 13:36:16

Just realised I'm CD10 not 11 hahah oops

Positivity2019 Wed 18-Sep-19 14:59:10

Hi everyone, thought I’d jump on. I’ve came off my pill the end of May but feel like it’s taken an age for my cycle to settle down. This is my third cycle and I’m 7DPO. AF is due either sun/mon/tues, not sure which yet as my first cycle was 40 days and my second cycle was 25 days. Typically I’m 28 days regular so I’m hoping this will be my first month back to my usual cycle length. I plan to test on tues next week if no AF. No symptoms except some dull pains on my left side just above my hip today. They are a bit stabby and I’ve never had it before so fingers crossed for implantation and praying it’s not just trapped wind 😂.
My birthday is tomorrow and I’m hitting the dreaded fertility age of 35. Had hoped to be pregnant by now but I was definitely just kidding myself that we would come off the pill and get pregnant straight away, although I know it does happen for some people. Being on here has taught me heaps and has been incredibly reassuring.
