Faulty FRERs?!

I have no idea what is going on, can only assume FRERs are crap or my batch are faulty!

I've spent a small fortune on FRERs last month and this month and been on an emotional rollercoaster - lots of barely there faint lines and sleepless nights waiting for FMU with lines that are non existent or barely there. When my period arrived last month, I assumed it was a chemical.

So same thing happens this month, with barely there lines. Last night I found a first response rapid response (apparently less sensitive and meant to be used by day of missed period, I'm due tomorrow) and decided to use it on a whim - and got much stronger positive!!

Got myself all exited/worked up and decided to do a FRER this morning to confirm. Only to get a barely there line again!

So assume it's another chemical and get all upset. Then decided a couple hours later to go try another rapid response out of curiosity. Another stronger positive within a minute - can I assume I'm pregnant and my FRERS are crap?!?

Some people get strong lines with afternoon urine I think.

I dunno what is going on but I have my fingers crossed for you x

The lines in that second pic look pretty strong - tantalise congratulations to you. I agree with crappy frers though- I spent a bloody fortune on them last month as they kept showing vague lines only for AF to arrive 😤

Hope this is your BFP, have attached crappy frer pics 😬

Tentative, not tantalise! And also wrong posted wrong pic 🤭 it's been a long day!

My frers have done the same, I wonder if it is a batch problem, I've not used any others after they though so I'm unsure what's going on!
Let me know how you get on and congratulations

It's the oddest thing. FRER's still negative/maybe a tiny tiny shadow if I squint this way or that BUT..... these are today's Clearblue and first response rapid result tests. Hmm

I think that clearblue is pretty clear! 😊 hopefully you'll have nice stronger lines soon - congrats xx

I think your frer looks pretty positive to me!

Both clearblue and frer are positive.

It's not a FRER, it's a first response rapid response (look the same but the logo on handle is different). The early photo was the FRERs

I never bothered buying more FRERs now that my period is officially late but 2 days ago the early responses were still negative or barely there.
But just goes to show, there is good reason to try wait as long as possible before testing, easy for me to say now though I know!
Just because they say they can detect 6 days early, doesn't mean they will. I went through a lot of emotions, tears and cash for nothing. Guess I need to change my username now 😝

Congratulations!! Smile

Your post has given me so much hope, I’m having the same issue with FRERs and thought I was out this month but looks like it’s not over until AF appears Smile

@ButterflyBird absolutely. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Lost all faith in FRERs completely. The rapid response test picked up my positive 2 days before AF and were £6 for 2 tests in Asda/Morrison's. The FRERS at £7 a test did nothing for me at all. Save your money and hang off Smile
