Hey ladies, just wondering if any one has used the Ava bracelet? Any reviews or success stories? Have people found it useful?

Hi @babymama21 I use an Ava bracelet and so far I’m really loving it. It’s so easy. You put it on at night and then sync it with the app in the morning. You just need to have had four hours sleep minimum for it to get a good reading of your data. The data is really clear to read on the app. The first cycle I used it it predicted an ovulation day and then nearer the time that ovulation day moved to the next day as the data tightened up the prediction.
It does say it takes a couple cycles to really get to know your cycle and I would agree with that. I also charge it every other day which is quite a lot but worth it not to have to use ovulation sticks.
I’m only away to start cycle 2 so I think my bracelet is still figuring out my cycle but I’m hoping for a quick BFP.

Thanks for coming back on this thread! Sounds good, I have read a mixed reviews so thought I would ask for some advice. I have irregular/long cycles and I've read it can not always read the results accurately if that the case. I am on cycle 5 and awaiting AF any day so considering investing in one for next cycle. 😊

I found it helpful and am looking to sell mine as it worked! Obviously I have no way of knowing if/how different it would have been without Ava but I felt I benefited from it and certainly fell pregnant pretty quickly after getting it (whereas I hadn’t before).

I liked that it did its thing without me needing to think about it/stress over taking my temp/deciphering ovulation sticks.

Hi I got my AVA in July. The Ava is fine to wear the light is a bit bright at night but you get used to it. Apparently it takes a couple of cycles to get used to your body so I was thinking of July as more of a test run. It has not been accurate eg I have been doing OPK as well and as the OPKs started to turn positive but Ava predicted my ovulation as four days before this. DH was happy as I've wanted to cover all the bases and we have been BD'ing every day since Ava predicted my fertile period and continued now with the positive OPK's. I'm shocked (and delighted) to say we found out I'm pregnant on Saturday - first month using Ava. I had thought this month would be a test run to get used to my body which appeared to be the case as the Ava predicted my fertile period well before positive OPKs. I suspect as Ava told me I was ovulating early our earlier BDing everyday has been successful we were following SMEP before but it hadn't worked. Not sure this helps but I wanted to let you know how the Ava went. I should have also mentioned my cycles vary between 31/34 days. Feel free to DM me if you need any more information.

@DinoMamasaurus oh wow that's really good to hear. I have been looking at buying one second hand because they are so expensive - I am concerned spending that much money if it doesn't work.
I think that sounds good as I thought it might stop me stressing about everything (which clearly isn't helping). Thanks for your feedback!

@mommybear1oh wow congratulations!!! That is good work! If you dont mind me asking how long had you been trying before you started using the AVA? My cycles are long between 33-46 days accept last month that was a 50 day cycle (had a family bereavement and a lot of work stress) I went to see the doctor and after a bloody test she said my hormones were all normal so I'm putting that cycle down to stress. I was thinking of trying SMEP next cycle (awaiting AF any moment) so maybe that and AVA could help get me that BFP I am looking for! Thank you so much for sharing your story, and congratulations again - you must be over the moon 😊 xx

Hi @babymama21 thank you - yes we are still in the 'can't believe it' camp! With my PFB we tried for 7 years - for this baby we were trying for 20 months and then month 21 was with the AVA I definitely think smep is good and personally I would use the AVA and OPKs so you have a good idea of your fertility period. Best of luck!

I absolutely found it useless. I used it for 1 month, didn't show me any trends, recorded sleep incorrectly. The following month I didn't use it and fell pregnant so ended up selling it. For me it was like any other fertility tracking app but defo not worth the price.
