I came off my mini pill on 14th July, I still haven't had a bleed but I've had all sorts of "period" type symptoms- a migraine, awful cramps, sore boobs, etc
One night the cramps were so sore they kept me awake most of the night.
I had some mucusy discharge so we DTD twice just to see what happened, that was 27th and 28th July.
I had a couple of days of no pain, then a day of pain and now I feel ok again. Just slight twinges.
Today I randomly tried an ovulation stick and it said im not ovulating but I don't know how reliable they are.

I will also be likely having a CS as my first baby was an emergency c section. She was born in 2016.
When I had her I came off the pill and got pregnant straight away- but that wasn't the mini pill.

I'm feeling very confused and unsure about what's going on with my body now......

hey @HappyGirl86 Yes please - looks like we have found each other. Course you can join.
What mini pill where you using?
Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Sounds like your system is still trying to adjust - i am due my AF in a couple of days which is why i wanted to come off before then so i get a month to normalise things - i think i still ovulate with this pill though bcos i do get the mucus discharge - i have ordered some ovulation sticks

I have to take the pill till Tuesday because we are not going to get a chance to get any condoms before then (when we do our weekly shop) incase we dtd i need to be as close as possible to the school holiday 2020

@HappyGirl86 my first was EMCS, i tried natural with my second and still ended up with an EMCS due to no progression.

This time round i am going straight in for an elective CS - not going down the EMCS route

Lovely to find a buddy!
It's only been a week today since we DTD so it's too soon to test? I'm not good at all this stuff!
Last time I got pregnant the first months trying, I was so lucky.

It's frustrating because on the last pill I had a withdrawal bleed almost immediately, whereas this time it will be 3 weeks on Sunday and still haven't had one.
I do like the mini pill though because I never got periods!
Have you always taken the mini pill each time you went back on to contraception?

@HappyGirl86 yeah i was too big for anything else doc said and i didnt particular want the implant so yes i have been on the minipill form 18 (different types/brands/hormones over the years) but always the mini pill.
and I have always had periods...but my cycle lengths varies from month to month and the length of the period varies form month to month too but I have always have a period

Hi,

Can I join too?

My story is more complicated,

Feb 2019 conceived a baby boy sadly lost him at 20 weeks, went on the pill straight away, 4 days later got the implant, stopped the pill and also got the implant out 2 weeks later.

Thursday 25th I got my bleed after having the implant out less than 24hours, and then had half a day bleeding on Friday the 3rd but nothing since.

Hoping to catch on straight away as I feel I'm ready again although I don't think it'll happen.

I have a 5 year old son already so a summer baby would be really good!

Good luck and fingers crossed to you both.

Hi Wannabe, that's the same pill that I have been taking.
Sounds like you are a little ahead of me, I'm only on calendar Day 2.
Have you got any other children?

I have been struggling with it all and confused to what I wanted hence the jumping straight on and off contraception but I realised this is really what I want.
I keep thinking I'm having pregnancy symptoms but apparently you have them coming off the implant, not sure how much it would effect me only having it in for 2 weeks
🤦🏻‍♀️

How is everyone else feeling?

@HappyGirl86 no this is my first and I'm 38 so fully prepared for it taking a while.

@Luxoire Yes I'm going to start POAS got some cheapie ovulation tests from eBay to see if I'm actually ovulating. My DP and I won't be seeing each other until Saturday which is when according to Ovia I will be at peak ovulating time but will certainly be DTD as often as possible over the weekend lol

Hi Ladies can I join in as you sound like your on the exact same plan (hopefully) as me (apart from the pill part)

I am having my mirena coil removed on Monday but hope to get our bfp Oct/Nov time too for a summer 2020 baby. But tbh I'm just tooooo excited. Because I know I'm getting it out on Monday, in my head we are trying but I know we arnt yet. I really dont want to fall pregnant much before Oct as we have a holiday booked for next April and I dont want to risk being too close to that but I'm too excited. Grin Grin
