Hello!

I know there's millions of these 2ww threads active at the moment but wondered if there is anyone out there who is 1 day post ovulation today and wanted to wait it out with me ☺️ I feel bad jumping onto someone elses thread when they're quite a few days ahead of me!

Hi!

I'll join in! I am two DPO. Trying hard not to symptom spot too much this month as I was almost certain I had conceived last month with all of the symptoms that I had but I was mistaken!
Good luck to you 😊

Hi!! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Aw i'm sorry to hear it didn't happen for you last month but hopefully they'll be a BFP his month!!!!

I've already started symptom spotting even though I know it's probably too soon 😂 I just figured it would be better to share mine & hear others symptoms on here because my OH has had enough of hearing it haha!

Its only day one and I swear I had mild heartburn & twinges in my abdomen!! Definitely clutching at straws right now and trawling the Internet to see if anyone had any early symptoms and then got a bfp!!!!

Did you temp chart? I've tried to this month but not sure it works for me as I don't always wake up at the same time!

I hope this is our month!!! Keep me posted on how you're feeling!!!!
Smile

It's so hard not to symptom spot though! I think we are alll guilty of that.
I didn't temp chart, to be honest we have only started TTC very recently. I came off the pill end of Feb after being on it for 9+ years and so we just decided to be relaxed about conceiving and letting nature take its course!

It is early days but I am having the odd twinge in my lower stomach today and my boobs are so sore and heavy! Exactly how I felt last month though so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

I also just started to take Pregnacare conception vitamins last week as I've heard some good things about them.

Have you been TTC for long?
Looking forward to hearing your updates and sharing the dreaded TWW 😬

Hi I hope it's ok to join! I'm 3DPO and trying to take a more relaxed approach this month 🙈 my fiancé and I have been ttc since January and it's just so annoying as it just seems that everyone else around me is easily falling pregnant! 😂

SO82018 - ah okay. Tbh BBT charting is a lot of effort and prob not worth it until you've been trying for a while and wondering why you're nor getting pregnant.

That's the mistake I made - everyone told me not to bother because like yourself i've only just started trying after being on the pill for the same amount of time as you and I was told it would just stress me out....well BBT charting is just another thing along with opks that give me anxiety now haha!! Esp since I can quite hit measuring my temp at the same time every day Smile

Ah I may start pregnacare too 👍🏽

ALS2019 - yay you're more than welcome to join! More the merrier Smile I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!!! I started trying in March and one of my friends came off the pill in Jan and without even trying or even knowing what an OPK is she got pregnant the next month! Seriously!!!! Sometime I wonder if its all this worrying that hinders the baby making process cause she wasn't expecting to get pregnant for months so wasn't over thinking it like I have been!!!!!

This is my first ever post. I've been lurking the boards for a couple of weeks! I'm 1 or 2dpo (not totally sure) - can I join in please?

Anyone else ttc their second?

Some deets on me:
First time ttc
Cycle 1 of actually trying (cb OPKs)
I've had a mirena coil for 15 years to keep endo at bay - no idea how much damage has been created from that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Feeling pretty chilled about the whole thing currently!

What does BBT charting involve exactly? I’ve only just recently joined this but hearing quite a lot about it! It’s all new to me, I’m just about getting used to all of the acronyms 🙈

Larrydavid
I was lurking the forums for a while too before I joined! Happens to the best of us, ha.

S082018 - I don't know any acronyms or even how to tag people!

als2912 · 28/05/2019 20:44

@Solid10 it is very frustrating as it just makes me think why could it be taking me so long even though I know they say it can take at least a year for most people! but I'm aiming to keep calm and chilled out; I totally agree the more you think about it the more you stress and then it puts extra unwanted pressure!

@chanderl agree 100%! I notice them more now since ttc but I just think about how much I look forward to being in that position 😊

@Larrydavid that's so good that you're chilled; it definitely helps a lot I think and I always hear that when someone has a BFP 9 times out of 10 it was when they weren't expecting it!

Ps. To tag people you put an @ then type their name 😊

Hello!

4 dpo roughly... I have very regular periods & I expected to ovulate on Friday. The OPK was close to positive but never went fully positive but by Saturday afternoon, I was getting only faint lines again so I assume it did happen at some point between Friday afternoon & Sat afternoon!

TTC our second, our daughter just turned two! I’d forgotten how infuriating this TWW was!

Report
Larrydavid · 28/05/2019 21:09

@als2912 I think my expectations are just quite low - I had endo quite badly when I was 20 (and a cool 15 years since then) and I've always just assumed that it would be difficult to get pregnant. So we're trying - not casually as I'm keeping an eye on ovulation - but I'm aware it's probably going to be tricky and probably won't be quick. Also, I'm on holiday for one week of my first tww so am hoping that'll keep me busy! Where how many dpo are you?

Hey ladies.
Also joining the tww.
Well as of today. Think I ovulated today!

Did anyone use the clear blue digital? I think they keep giving me static too late so I've done internet cheapies too. And that gave me a peak yday!

Fingers crossed for us all!!!!

Larrydavid · 28/05/2019 21:42

@MrsLBear hello! I used CB ones - I got a flashing smiley for 4 days and static for two. Had some ovary twinges yesterday so it might have been right but not entirely sure!

Sunflower2019 · 28/05/2019 22:25

Hey, I’ve not been testing (ovulation sticks etc) I believe I’m 2po - been having weird twinges too and heartburn... which is odd! Have actually felt strange the last few days.

I have a dd she’s 10.. have forgotten everything!

I’m 32 btw... :)

Welcome to all the new people! :)

Im 30, first time TTC and on cycle 3! 2 DPO!

@MrsLBear - I used both clear blue digital and advance but the CB advance is really sensitive to when you start using it. For the first month my periods were super irregular so I didn't get on with it. I had a flashing face for 9 days then static for 3! weird!

It only seemed useful once I already knew I was in a LH Surge tbh!

I've been using cheap OPKs religiously 3x a day and when I havne't been too sure if it's a positive I've been using the CB digital (pink ones) to comfirm

Effort

@Sunflower2019 - snap!!! 2DPO -
-Weird sharp twinges on my ovary (i guess) area
-Last night lower back ache which was weird for me, found it hard to get comfy in bed
-Yesterday same as you - mild heartburn when I ate jalapenos which has never happened before!

@S082018 - BBT charting involves taking your basal body temperature every morning, at the same time, after at least 4 consecutive hours sleep. If you take your temperature a little earlier or later than normal, it affects your reading. You then either maually or using an app (I use Femometer and Fertility Friend) enter your daily BBTs and it draws up a graph for you. After you've ovulated you shouullddd see a rise in temp every morning unti your period starts. Or if you're pregnant, the temp will remainn elevated.

Its good for cofirming ovulation as a positive LH test doesn't necessarily mean you've ovuled and it also help learn about the lenght of your Luteal Phase.

I'm finding it hard to get on with because I wake up a few time throughout the night so I never know which temperature I should be using and also, because I wake at random times, I haven't been taking my temperature consistantly after at least 4 hours sleep at the same time every day. If one sleeps through the night and wakes at 6am everyday then taking your temp with a BBT thermometer every day will be accurate but i'm not sure I trust my readings!

Oh and you can't move or do anything. so as soon as you wake up, you have to try and move as little as you can so have it on your bedside table so you can just reach over and grab it. apparently moving can also cause your temp to increase.

Loads of people find it great but for me, especially since I never sleep through the night without waking, it's confusing me as I am preetty certain I ovulted as I had LH Peak and sharp ovulation pains (I think!)

ALSO!! do any of you get spotting day of or before ovulation? This month I had a LH peak, along with spotting that day and the next day. I think I ovulated the second day of spotting. Is that normal?

@Solid10 Thanks for the detailed response! It sounds like hard work 🤦🏽‍♀️ but maybe something to consider in the future if I'm having no luck!

How is everybody else feeling right now? I am 3dpo and find that my boobs are so sore and heavy right now and I have a definite increase in CM.

Just a little about me, I'm 27 - married for 9 months but have been with my husband since we were 16! So really keen to start a family having been together for what seems like forever!
