Hi. Interested to see what opk users think. I normally ov around cd 17-19. Now cd18.

Did an opk yesterday and was strong but not quite positive. Did one this morning and much fainter.

Should I assume today is 1dpo and that I ov overnight? Have dtd loads (poor dh is shattered!) so just wondering whether to sneak one more in tonight. I’ll attach yesterday’s opk (single stronger one) and today’s (single fainter one) I’ll also attach the previous cycles many!

Thoughts appreciated Smile

I'd say you OV yesterday, my OPK I never caught as dark as or darker than the control line! I assumed I OV overnight because same as you, the next morning was pretty much nothing. I'm now 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow from that cycle! X

You might not ovulate on the day of your positive opk, it could be 48 hours later!

The sperm meets egg plan says dtd every other day from cycle day 8 (iirc) then when you get a positive OPK do it three days in a row, skip a day and do it again.

I'd say you'll ovulate today or tomorrow as you can ovulate between 12-48 hours of getting a positive opk.

Thanks all. The one with all the pics is from my last cycle. Congrats Hayley on the preggo status. Kinsters I’m intrigued by this egg meet sperm plan and going to look it up. I don’t ov till late so dtd from cd8 would be like throwing a sausage down a corridor lol

Look up SMEP and you'll find loads of info. I guess you can push it back if your cycle is longer but keep doing it as much as you can early on cause you never know when you're going to o early! I ovulated 4 days earlier than usual this cycle and ended up pregnant.

I guess of you go by 6 days before “normal” ov of 14 days then I could go by cd11 and go from there.

Right more confused after today’s opk but not getting ov pain. Poor dh even obliged with dtd after a 16 hour shift. Tell me we can stop dtd now?!?!

Do you chart your temperature? If you don't want to be having so much sex then it's a good way to confirm when you've ovulated and know when you're "safe" to stop.

Kinsters I did when I was ttc my first but I got a bit obsessive. Did you do it ttc this bub? I’ve got the thermometer so no reason why I couldn’t. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how this cycle pans out and then start
