So I’m trying to conceive and have been since November. I sadly miscarried in Feb and had my first cycle last month. I’ve just ovulated or so I think...got a positive result on saturday and have been busy dtd quite a bit. I guess I’m 1dpo maybe 2. Fingers crossed this is our month. How is everyone else getting on?

Hi Claire. Sorry to hear about your m/c. You managed to conceive quite quickly so hopefully it'll happen again for you soon. How old are you? I'm 33 and have TTC properly since January, came off pill in August but it's taken a while for things to settle down unfortunately. Last cycle was 45 days 🙄

Hello! Thanks. I just hope there’s nothing wrong...EPU said no reason there should be. I’m 29. Yeah it can take a while to settle down my friend came off st same time as me and it took 2 months for her to get a period. Have you tried buying the OPKs? They really helped me, not just to see when ovulation was occurring but for piece of mind. Fingers crossed it happens soon! X

Yeah, just so annoying, I think it's the waiting around that's the worst part. How many DPO did you get your BFP last time?
Yeah I used the OPK tests one month and I got 2 peaks but 5 days apart 🤔 not really sure what was going on there but I also heard they along don't confirm ovulation has occurred so I also just started temping this month too. Think my DH thinks I have gone slightly mad 😂

Then I ran out of tests (think i got carried away) and have some more for this month so it'll be good to use them again and try and make sense of my cycles!

Well the first pregnancy was a bit random. I think it was clear there was something wrong with the embryo right from the start. So what happened back in January is I ovulated around the 5th and about 12 days later I bled for two days which I presumed was my period. However when it stopped (usually on for 4 days) I did a preg test and it was negative. About s week or so later I didn’t feel right so took another test and that was positive. Sadly 4 days later I started bleeding and hospital confirmed miscarriage. Hasn’t given me mich confidence in my body really. I’ve heard that sometimes if you get two peaks it’s because your body is trying to ovulate but hasn’t succeeded. Saying that though, they aren’t the most reliable! I’ve never done the temping, feel like I would mess it up. The things we have to go through eh! The men just seem to deposit their guys and then completely forget about it! X

Oh that's sounds awful. I'm so sorry. It must be so heartbreaking for that to happen when you have had the BFP test and you get excited about it only to be left totally shattered. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about for the future though as I've heard plenty of people have m/c's and then go onto have perfectly healthy pregnancies afterwards (my sis included). Keep your chin up.
Yeah, I think that's what may have happened but I'm also worried the AF's that I do have are so so llight, pretty much just spotting and no tampon needed. So went to the GP to discuss and have to go back for cycle day 21 blood test to check ovulation. (In a couple of weeks) Fingers crossed it's all fine and I am ovulating okay 🤞🏼I do find doing the OPK and temping stressful as I probably read waaaaay too much into them! Going to try and DTD every second day this month, that way I'll be satisfied I haven't missed an opportunity! xx

Thanks for your kind words. Glad to hear your sister had a happy ending. I’m hoping we both get one too! Yeah there’s plenty that can be done if your periods are on the lighter side. Try drinking lots of pomegrenate juice. I’m sure there will be nothing sinister going on. We tried the smep plan this month. Every other day and then everyday for 3 days when ovulating. When we caught we did it ever other day then twice in a row. It can’t hurt to do it more altho it really does get tiresome! This will be our year I’m sure x

@Beddie11 I feel ya! That is rubbish. Have you tried going to the GP?

@beddie11 that happened to a friend of mine she did get hers in the end. Also went to the doctors when I came off the pill because I’m abit of a worrier and wanted to see how things would go, they told me if you don’t get your period in 6 months then they could give you some meds to make it come. So don’t worry I’m sure it will all work out!

How long did it take for your friends to come? Im due at the doctors in about a months time.. it will be five month then so we shall see. Its just hard because i guess i just didnt expect this to happen, in my head i thought i know not many people conceive straight after coming off the pill but maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones! And then i dont even get a period never mind BFP lol.. so im quite disheartened at the minute xx

Yeah I can imagine it’s tough because it’s the unknown. My friend stopped the pill in October and came on at the end of January. Sometimes it’s just a case of needing something to kick start your system and wake up your ovaries. go to the doctors and get some piece of mind. I’m sure it will work out. At the moment it feels like I’m never gonna get that BFP. And even if I do I will doubt whether it will work or not. Really thought it would be easier than this xx

Im sure it will happen again for you, we just have to stay very positive! Ive been to the doctors once they took full blood tests which bought up no issues so im going again for a follow up just to see what the next step is. Is this your first time ttc? Xx

Yeah it’s just so hard staying positive a friend recently found out she’s pregnant which feels ol but we will get there I guess. Yes TTC 1# excluding the miscsrriage and the month I got pregnant it’s my fourth cycle. I’m choosing to look at it as I caught after 2 months first time round hopefully it will be quick this time too. How about you?

I started fully crying last night when watching Friends - the one where Rachel has her baby. My DH kept asking me if I was okay thinking there was something seriously wrong with me. Oh dear! 😂

@Beddie11 just wondering if you have considered taking Agnus Castus to try and get your cycle back to some normality? Someone suggested it to me so I've been taking it for a week or so. Think you're supposed to take it from AF to ovulation and stop after that, quite hard if you don't know exactly when you are ovulating though. Have heard some good stories from people taking these.

Just had a thought I’m about 3dpo but no painful boobs...im pretty sure I usually get this symptom straight after ovulation which tells me I ovulated. I tested with OPKs so know I ovulated this month but waiting for the boobs to kick in. Any ideas?
