Please forgive me if I sound a bit stupid, I’m struggling with ttc and finding everything very confusing. Things I thought I knew and understood I just don’t anymore Grin

Af is due today or tomorrow. I ovulated a week late for some reason this month, or at least think I did, because of that I’ve just assumed AF will arrive late too.
I’m currently seeing my doctor on a regular basis, including face to face and phone apps. We had a phone appointment yesterday and I asked him to basically just confirm what I thought. I think he may have misunderstood and I didn’t realise until afterwards or I’m not understanding because his answer was that ovulation isn’t classed as late until after CD21, I ovulated on CD20. But that doesn’t exactly answer my question.

I just want someone here to tell me if they think I’m correct or if my period will come as normal?

I just don’t want to start getting ahead of myself if it doesn’t arrive this week if it isn’t actually due now for another week.

Hi @Floofboopsnootandbork I'm no expert but hoping I can help you in some way, my average cycle length is 28days it's not 28 days every month because I don't ovulate on the same CD each cycle, so you always go by your luteal phase so mine is 13 days, and then usually getAF on the 14DPO, so this month I ovulated on CD 15 or 16 so my AF won't arrive on CD28. Because I'm still in my luteal phase, I hope this helps you I mean I don't even know if I'm right there but that works for me.

Thank you. Ended up speaking to the doc again who basically said the same as you, in most cases af will always arrive 14 days after ovulation. Another week of waiting for me then. 😔
