Hot tub 3 months for sperm to regenerate?

Hi there,
DH wants to use the hot tub, there's loads on google saying it kills the sperm and takes 3 months to regenerate so I'm panicked about it. If that's true then surely none of us would need contraception just send the lads off to the hot tub every 3 months.... Hmm anyone know what the real deal is with hot tubs or got bfp around time DH used hot tub this disapproving the theory? X

I don't think it completely kills off sperm there is just a risk of lowering sperm count , if you were desperately trying to conceive then it's something you would want to avoid but otherwise I don't believe it would do any harm .

Also my husband went in a hot tub about 2 months before I fell pregnant

Thanks @mummamaker we've been trying for so long I'm struggling to impose yet another ban on something. I have heard of people conceiving regardless but agree it's not ideal x

What’s the difference between going in a hot tub and a bath?

It's not that after being in the hot tub sperm doesnt regenerate after 3 months. That's just in general.

That's why when ttc they say to dtd every other day as opposed to every day, and more so nearer the fertile period. As it does take 3 months for the menstrual body to create more sperm.

Use wisely.
