Should I wait to do a Pregnancy Test if I'm Unwell???

My period is 7 days late. I tested on day 4 in the afternoon but was negative. I want to test again but I'm worried I'm too dehydrated and it will affect the test.

In the last week and a half I've had conjunctivitis, a horrid cold that I thought might be strep throat, and food poisoning, the latter of which happened on my 6th day of being late. I'm not sure if it will affect the test or not because I'm dehydrated.

Really worried too that if I am pregnant I'll lose it from being so poorly.

Your illness will not affect the test nor would it cause a miscarriage. I hope you feel better soon.

It wouldn't effect the test. In fact the test would show up clearer if you haven't been drinking much, which is why you normally use first morning urine if you are doing an early test.

Still negative. My period's never late like this and I had heartburn a few days ago which prompted the first test since I've only gotten that while pregnant.

Not knowing what's going on with my body really sucks.
