Hi!

Didn't manage to conceive last month so now it's time to try for a December baby! Anyone else want to join? On CD 4 so I'm feeling positive about a new start! I'm ttc no3.

Hello! Yes im now on the December bus!

This is cycle 4 for me ttc. What cycle are you on now?

Blondie87 · 08/03/2019 19:38

Hey. Good to have company! I'm on cycle 2 of officially trying, but to be honest before weren't preventing much either! Was unsure about going for a third but I've been thinking about it for ages and I know I'll regret it if I don't. Are you trying for your first?

Oh lovely, how old are your first 2?

Im ttc #2 I have a 19 month old ds. We fell preg on first cycle with him so I think I half expected the same again so I havnt been coping too well with all the ttc stress lol.

Are you charting or opking or anything?

Dunno why but if I could choose the month I think I would choose December .

@scarletrose18

I know the feeling. I also conceived first month with my first and currently on cycle 4 for my 2nd. Was such a shock to the system not conceiving first cycle and immediately thinking something was wrong!

CD3 here, TTC#3 too. I was in a similar position - debating it for ages, and now that DC1 and 2 are older (aged 4 and 6 now, will be almost 7 and almost 5 by the time any DC3 shows up), I think having a third wouldn't be anywhere near as crazy as I felt having DD when DS was only just 2 and still in nappies himself Grin

I'm a December baby. It's nice Smile

I agree, I think Dec is the perfect month, would be lovely if we all got Dec babies! 🙂

@Explorers10 Thats exactly what I have been thinking!! I was doing opk's and getting a bit obsessed and over analysing every tiny thing these last 3 months and it all felt very stressful, so this month we are trying the "relaxed approach". No opk's or anything just trying to stay chilled and dtd lots but in a relaxed way... if that makes sense lol. And actually I feel its working, I feel much more relaxed so far.

Do you have a dd or ds?

Hi everyone!

Just turned 22, TTC #1, cycle one after coming off the pill in Feb, just had my first period and currently on CD7.

Desperately hoping for a positive this month as we have family visiting from South Africa in June which would be 12 weeks if we conceive this month, so would love to share the news with them in person! FX for all of us. Biscuit

@scarletrose

I think I haven't been as relaxed since 1st month of trying as was such a shock that it didn't work 1st time that caused me to be anxious. Spoken to lots of people on here and it's normal to be trying a while so I am going to try to do relax. I have a daughter. Makes complete sense what you are doing. I heard from people once they are relaxed they fell pregnant. Also my DH is not keen on an Xmas or winter baby so I'm going to be hopefully more relaxed without using opks and doing dtd as and when in the hope that I will conceive

Blondie87 · 08/03/2019 21:28

I used OPKs for the first time last month, and whilst it was useful for pinpointing ovulation, I nearly drove myself mad over it! This month I'm going to try and chill out and take a more relaxed approach.

My DC are 2 and nearly 4. I personally don't want a big gap so if I don't get pregnant in the next 12 months I will put any plans for a third away!

If it makes people feel better, it took a year to conceive DC1, and then only two months when trying for DC2! There is no rhyme or reason!

@blondie87 thanks for the reassurance! It’s really is such a lottery about conceiving! Really hope you get your third. Yep I drove myself crazy with the clearblue opks it kept given me flashing smileys and no static smiley so was stressing me out so no idea when I ovulated

deathbycats · 08/03/2019 21:51

I keep thinking I’ll be chilled out and not use OPKs but I end up driving myself daft wanting to know when I ov’d. I think I’ll try to balance it by being chilled about the DTD but use the OPK more for keeping my apps and period/testing dates accurate.

@chloepd that would be a lovely surprise for your fam!

@explorers10 Funny how stressed ttc can make you isnt it. And I know 4 months isnt long at all compared to what some ladies go through but its hard not to worry. What age is your dd?

@Blondie87 I did the same, obsessing over the opks then obsessing over the tww. At least now with no opks, we wont know exactly when/how far into the tww we are.

@deathbycats what cd are you on?

Hopefully we are all able to have a relaxed March cycle.

@scarletrose. She is 2 and half. I think yours was also born in July?

Hi all, can I join, I'm TTC#2. She's 23 months and I'm nearly 39.

It took 10 months with DC1 and I was obsessed. Temp taking, opks, ubinquol, a mountain of vitamins and acupuncture. This time I'm aiming for a more relaxed approached. Grin

I think I'm cd7 and praying I'm one of those who falls quickly for the 2nd but who knows.

I agree with you all, TTC is a crazy process and all consuming. The month I conceived it was my last month of trying before a six month break.

I hope everyone gets their Dec BFP.

Welcome to the 'we're not obsessing' (but blatantly will) relaxed approach to TTC!

Does anyone else have slightly irregular cycles? My vary from 27-35 days which definitely makes timings more tricky.

I'm on CD4 today scarletrose. I think I might start OPKing in a week. I got internet cheapies so it's not like I'm going to be wasting expensive tests Grin

Blondie - slightly irregular. I'm usually 28-30 days, although I have come on at 26/31/32 days before and last month was a 42 day cycle. That was a nightmare and that was just my first without my IUD (had the copper coil so still had a normal cycle while it was in). I'm getting a bit twitchy about this month because I'm so used to my period being long and heavy because of it, so to be light on CD4 is a bit nerve wracking for me.

@explorers10 He was born at the start of August, felt like such a hot summer lol.

@blondie I also vary between 28 to 30 days.

@deathbycats Im on cd10. Strange not to be using opks this cycle. But the ones I used before were all IC too and they worked well 🙂

@blueisthenew Hopefully this time is quicker for you 🙂

I think I’ll definitely need OPKs this month - I think my Ov might be knocked off by a day or so now because I was up half the night with nausea. If I’ve got a big that’ll have an impact.

Hi everyone.
Ttc #1. I feel like trying for a baby has already take over my life. It's all I think about! I'm using the Clearblue ovulation sticks to try and make sure I don't miss my ovulation and I've had the flashy face for 5 days now. Really hoping for my solid face soon! 🤞🏻
