Hey! I’m TTC1, cycle 7, CD10 age 26..

Literally at that stage where I have no idea what’s wrong with me or why this isn’t happening. My best friend fell pregnant last month not even trying. Hoping this is my month! X

@paddypaws91Yay glad you joined!

Welcome @leleophants and @ MrsMcNtobe

I’m really hoping it’s our month this month! I’m going to really try and be positive and forget about previous cycles and be kinder to myself that it will happen.

@MrsMcNtobe it’s heartbreaking isn’t it when you been trying and it just happens straight away for someone else. I am convinced that you will be lucky soon having waited this long

Thanks! I've only just had my merina coil out so no idea about what my cycles are like - so lots of dtd for us I think!

@Explorers10 what’s your tips? Have you been using OPKs or taking your temperature or anything like that?

I heard grapefruit juice helps with CM so I’ve been having a glass of that every morning 🤢 along with prenatal vitamins and OPKs!

Report
Explorers10 · 10/02/2019 21:01

@MrsMcNtobe

I’ve tried pregnacare preconception vitamins, clearblue opks, conceive plus lube plus a few different apps Ovia, clue, Flo, glow. Changed preconception vitamins this month to seven seas & going to try and relax more this month about conceiving to see if it helps and maybe start an exercise class. I’ve tried tracking temp but it seems to stay the same or I forget to do it each morning. Not heard of grapefruit juice although it’s quite a horrid taste! Are you able to manage a glass of it?

Hi everyone hope I can join too?

TTC baby number 3
Cycle 1 (first proper month, came off the pill in Dec)
Age 36

It's hard to know if things have settled down yet but technically should be in fertile window now and I think I'm ovulating or close to it at the moment.

Haven't really done anything else yet but will probably try OPKs next month if nothing happens this month.

Baby dust to all x

Has anybody tried fertility lubricant? Seems to have a lot of good reviews...one reviewer said she had been TTC for 13 years, and the cycle she tries it, BAM, pregnant! 🤔

Report
MrsMcNtobe · 10/02/2019 21:04

@Explorers10 we tried preseed for the first time the other night, I’m hoping that helps! I’m wondering if I’ve been using the OPKs wrong, I’ve been finding we’re getting a positive and DTD that day then we end up not doing it for a few days I’m wondering whether we’re missing ovulation.

I’m barely managing the grapefruit juice, tbh I don’t even think it’s giving me any extra CM it must be a myth 😂

Hi everyone, can I join?

TTC #1
Age 24

Its all very new to us so I'm learning as I go along. This is absolutely what we want and we are so ready, but I'm also half terrified! Has anyone else felt like this or am I a bit weird?

@kinsella82 of course you can join. Any tips on how you conceived your previous two? Did you have many months of trying?

@paddypaws91 I tried conceive plus last month for first time and I didn’t get pregnant but will continue to use it this month

@MrsMcNtobe I heard that it’s actually dtd before peak ovulation that the sperm is waiting in your cervix so that when you ovulate it’s there. However would always try before , on ovulation and after ovulation. I dtd every other day during fertile period.

Hi ladies, currently 29 weeks pregnant and wanted to offer advice on how it worked for me.

Tried for 3 months - successful on cycle 3
First 2 cycles tried around the time I thought I was ovulating and turns out I was wrong about dates (ovulated at at different times each month after stopping the pill so cycles were between 28-36 days)

Finally gave in for cycle 3 and bought Preseed and clearblue ovulation tests. DTD on the 2 days that I got a positive result (around day 19)

And finally got a BFP on CD 37. Probably could have checked sooner but didn't want to risk the disappointment.

If I had tried Preseed and ovulation tests from the start I think it could have helped so hope someone finds this helpful.

Best of luck to you all x

@Explorers10 thanks a million for having me!

Unfortunately I can't give any insight on conceiving the previous two!
Number one was happy accident when we weren't TTC at all (we were over the moon though)
And for second baby I came off the pill on 17th Nov and had absolutely no breakthrough bleed or AF but somehow managed to conceive around the 3rd of Jan.

So we were extremely lucky on both and I'm not expecting the same this time around.

Paddypaws91 · 10/02/2019 21:33

Okay ladies that didn't take much convincing, just bought Pre-seed and a couple of pg tests off Amazon 😂👍

Thanks for all the advice @mrsk28 I've also ordered some pressed and opks - will give that a go this month when af has gone!

Hi @Explorers10 I'm tentatively joining although I may lurk. I got so obsessed last cycle, I'm not sure how to protect my sanity! I'm CD8 and last two cycles have ov ulated CD 15/16 so hoping similar this month as it's my birthday next Saturday and we are away for the weekend!

Welcome @sleepyquest fingers crossed you be a mum in 2019!

@mrsk28 thanks for the advice of what worked well for you. Wishing you well in your pregnancy!

@kinsella82 helpful to know regardless. It is funny as I conceived straight away with my first doing nothing. This time round for number 2 no sign of a positive & doing everything I can! Maybe should go back and just do nothing but relax!

@veeboo welcome to the thread. No worries, no pressure. It’s so easy to get obsessed. Wishing you a happy birthday for next week and hope you get a positive BFP this month
