Tramadol - affecting male fertility?

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right board to post on...

My partner is 39 and I am 37 and we have been trying for a baby for about 6 months with no success. We both have children from previous relationships and I had secondary infertility following the both of my eldest (15) and my youngest (7) was conceived through IUI on the first attempt. My partner has a 9 year old but since he was born he has had a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and over the last 7 years or so has regularly taken Tramadol (as well as Naproxen when required) to help manage his pain. I stupidly googled and found there are some negative effects on sperm following Tramadol use.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience re this, feeling so desperate for a baby together and we know time is not exactly on our sides.

I also know that my fertility and current weight may be playing a role. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis during the fertility treatment and have a subseptate and tilted uterus. I’m just worried about the Tramadol and how this this may also be affecting our chances.

Thanks Thanks
