Me too!
We will be TTC #1
Came off the pills last week so we get an idea of my cycles (been on some form of pill for 15 years!), hopefully they arrive and settle quickly. FX!

We are waiting until may/june ideally as we have lots of nieces, nephews and other family birthdays Nov - Jan.

Am starting the vitamins this weekend... Its very exciting and v scary all at the same time!

Me! What vitamins are you planning on taking? I've read reviews about a few but unsure as which to go with!

I was going to pick up the Seven Seas Pre-conception ones as they are on offer at the moment in Boots.

Yeah I've read the best things about the seven seas ones, think that's what we will go with 😆

Hey,
I am starting my TTC journey in March. We wanted one last holiday that is completely restriction free then we are going for it.

I am so excited. Only 47 days until our holiday so 47 days until we start trying!

I feel so ready, there are alot of babies in my life family and at work (I work in a nursery) and I just feel so ready.

I have been trying to get fit and healthy ready for a pregnancy as much as I can. I have a well balanced diet and exercise regularly.

I unfortunately suffer with irregular periods so unsure how easy this journey will be for me!

I have been taking folic acid, calcium and vitD since the beginning of January ready for the journey!

I ideally want february/March birth month but honestly as long as I have a happy healthy baby I don't mind!

Me too!
I came off the pill at the end of the December and have had my withdrawal bleed and am waiting to see what my periods do.
At the moment I'm using an app to try and get to grips with the signs to look for when ovulating.
I get married in May and then the plan is to try after that although around end of March/April we'll relax and see what happens.
Interested to hear how people are going to first approach it. I've been reading a lot of threads and ovulation tests look like a total minefield!
Due to my job as well DTD every day/ other day would be difficult. I also don't really want to start married life with a strict, un-fun sex life!

Great! Morning all!

Came off pill after Christmas. Had normal withdrawal bleed then nothing since so hoping it all starts up again soon. Any idea when is normal? Also I had such weird aches which then stopped.

Taking folic acid and then D and some B12. Does Seven seas give much more do you think?

Feel so ready now but DH wants to get some things sorted and want to avoid winter/xmas baby as get real blues then. Hoping to start in May or June!

@Leleophants we're aiming for June, I'm not sure whether there's much difference in the supplements, I just have read up on the seven seas ones more I suppose. Similar to you @EssJayyCee we're having a last holiday, then concentrating on it properly.. very exciting times 😆

@Leleophants I've been taking the Pregnacare ones since the new year. I can't say I'm feeling anything yet (apart from having bright yellow pee!). I have seen a few people on here complain about the price though. £8 for a box. I think Seven seas are cheaper so when these run out I'll investigate them

@SamT210 I am not sure if I'm more excited for our holiday or the fact it means we will finally be able to try for a baby! Haha.
Are you going anywhere nice? X

@EssJayyCee we're going to kefalonia 😍 I'm definitely more excited for a baby but looking forward to having a good holiday as just us two, where are you going? X

I’m taking the Tesco pregnancy vitamins. 3.30 per box. And usually on offer for 3 for 2.My Dr looked at them and was happy they had enough of all the right things in them.

@SamT210 Ooh I bet it's nice there. We are going to Madeira. It's a bit of an adventure holiday, scuba diving and alot of walks and mountains and nature. I can't wait to get out of this cold country!

Thanks for the tip @TulipsTwoLips always good to hear feedback like this.

So very jealous of your holidays @SamT210 and @EssJayyCee !
I am in the process of planning little weekend trips, day trips and home improvement types jobs to help keep me busy over the next few months. I seem to have babies on the brain at the moment, so keeping occupied is the key to waiting until May/June :)

Still haven't had my withdrawal bleed from the pill, which isn't helping as I am no closer to tracking cycles - tracking I feel will make it feel like i am at least doing something productive while we wait to TTC!

Are any of you also feeling a mix of impatient/excited while waiting to TTC? I keep looking at the conception forum thinking 'that will be me in a few months'! I've started to take the basic Boots folic acid and vitamin D tablets too. Hope those of you who are waiting due to holidays are looking forward to your travels :)

@lewk I'm definitely impatient! Trying to convince OH to let us "casually" DTD before we go away and see if anything happens but he keeps saying no 😂 it makes sense to wait but I'm chomping at the bit!

Came off the pill after a big holiday in December, had withdrawal bleed 3 weeks after and now actively TTC and using OPKs. Just taking folic acid atm but might add in some vitamin D soon, trying to cut down on caffeine and drinking alcohol and am back at the gym too.

Very exciting Lozzlepop! Fingers crossed for you!

SamT - just seen you're holding off for a holiday, must be so hard to wait! Will seem like no time at all once you're back home and starting TTC though :) I'm waiting til I qualify for maternity pay at work, so our time scale is not really negotiable!

Came off the pill last year and my periods have settled well and happen every month. I'm going to start trying in June and have prepared by taking individual vitamin d, folic acid, iron and going to get some vitamin b12 tablets too. Tried pregnecare conception tablets but didn't agree with me. Felt a bit nauseous and stomach unsettled. Going to stick with these for now and the vitamins I get are from home bargains/wilko so really cheap! I eat quite healthy anyway so should be fine. Any thing else anyone is doing to prepare? Any good books to read on the topic?

I've just ordered a book called Bump by Kate Evans which seems really good - starts from conception all the way though pregnancy, it's got some pictures and is laid out really easy to read so I think it will be good for my partner too!

Just got this book from the library yesterday @lewk and it is brilliant! Written in a funny way and loads of information and tips. Made loads of notes when reading it. Thanks for the recommendation!

Is anyone else starting to get really, really impatient?!
Going off apps and my last cycle I should be ovulating next weekend and I keep trying to talk myself into TTC this month!
I have my hen do and a big weekend away with friends in March which I want to be able to fully enjoy and I want to be able to have a full cycle where I track my temp and use OPK's properly My fiancé and I have agreed to TTC the cycle after but it feels so far away!

Report
beckyboop1 · 24/02/2019 18:22

@RLI1105 Yes! I'm feeling like it too! My Clue app shows what your cycle should be 3 months ahead and my period should start at the beginning of June and we are going to try after that cycle. Trying to wean myself off not thinking about it until then. Going to really think about what I'm eating from April to help with fertility from books I've read (who knows if it helps but no harm in trying!) taken vitamins now but not much more I can do. Got a holiday in April so will look forward to that!
